I have stayed at Vallarta Shores many times over the years and have always had an amazing time. I generally stay in one of the penthouses but have also come with groups and have rented the one and two bedrooms to for additional room. The penthouse (either A or B -- although I do prefer A) has three bedrooms and baths (plus a half bath in A), its own pool in the room, large bathrooms, great kitchen, outstanding views of the bay and a huge amount of open air living space. You can't beat falling asleep to the sound of the waves hitting the shore.

When you rent the penthouse, which is so reasonably priced I can't imagine why you would rent anything else if you have enough in your party to fill the three rooms (add up three decent hotel rooms and you'll find the penthouse a great value), you also get a cook who will make two meals a day for your party.
