I loved this place. We booked 2 nts at papa's palapas and 2 at villas amor--deciding to spoil ourselves for the last 2 nights. We got the "tortuga" (turtle) room which is an all open air room with a gorgeous view of the ocean, the beach, the mountains, etc. It has a bed with mosquito net, kitchen, dining area, hammock,... more

Don't know why I didn't write this review long ago but I guess I forgot. The place was about what I expected. The rooms are spacious. We were mid-level so not too much of a hike. The view was beautiful but it is all open air and the mosquitos were bad. We were there in Sept though so not surprising.... more

Stayed two nights in a standard one bedroom in February,.... this is the rate that is quoted in magazines such as Sunset...... Although it was a nice room..... it really doesn't qualify as a villa. The location is great - the view of the bay is great, the grounds are beautiful, the restaurant is nice........ The design of the room... more

Villa Amor is a pretty nice hotel, with some really fabulous rooms, in a really nice laid back town. However, they charge a lot for the rooms in what should be a really cheap town (the staff costs and cost to build must be really cheap), so I feel that I have the right to be critical. However I'll start... more

I researched quite a few properties in Sayulita, and I hope this review will help you make the best of your experience if you decide to stay at Villa Amor. My wife and I spent 4 nights there in early March 2009. The pictures are beautiful, aren't they? Hard to resist. The reservation process is maddening. I tried both the... more

Sayulita is a great little beach town and if you want a beautiful and romantic place to stay there, this is the spot! The rooms are GORGEOUS and huge. Be sure to get one with great views of the ocean. The restaurant is delicious and not expensive. I would definitely visit villa amor again. more

I stayed last December in Villa Amor, Sayulita, and had a very good experience. Our villa was called Villa Romantica and I was impressed. We had the most gorgeous, unobstructed view of the bay from our terrace and the whole place was just lovely. Two bedrooms, with air conditioning - which we did not need, but would be good in... more

Villa Amor is lovely and bohemian looking with most rooms varying greatly in size and layout. On the plus side, the views are excellent, the landscaping is beautiful, the food is good and the rooms are comfortable. The two biggest negatives are lack of public guest pool on the property (some of the most expensive suites have plunge pools) and... more

Hotel Villa Amor is the best Sayulita has to offer. The villas are all very difference from each other and built into the hilly jungle of the hotel site which offers you very intimate surroundings. The hotel does not have the large, impersonal lobby of most hotels. The staff, especially Manuel Orozco the Manager, were all very nice and responsive... more
