Delightful in every way. I was lucky enough to snare what might have been the last room in PV due to my flight being changed at the last minute; the Semanta Santa crowds were thick and tourists were filling the city. I could not be any more happy with Hotelito Rolando, and would be happy with my room and the... More

I stayed for one month in January and had a great experience at Rolando and in Puerto Vallarta. My taxi driver had no problem finding Rolando but i had printed off the map Jun had sent me and i knew the names of the streets. It bugs me when i read reviews of people who blame the hotel for being... More

We loved the location near Old Vallarta. The beach, restaurants, and great neighborhoods were all within walking distance. We LOVED staying in a neighborhood and not in the touristy hotel zone. The house was very charming, although in places, it was in disarray. Supplies were left on the floor in the common areas without being put away. The kitchen was... More

Dear EllisD2: Thank you for comments. Our kitchen is communal, as advised. Some guests can be quite untidy and they do not clean up when they leave, hence the signs we post around the kitchen reminding guests to clean up after themselves including when using the fridge. We also do not charge guests an additional Cleaning Fee to keep our... More

Hotelito Rolando is located near old downtown in walking distance to various shops and restaurants. Our taxi driver had quite a bit of trouble finding the hotel but once we were there we had a pleasant stay. A map of the area would have been useful. Our room was upgraded when we arrived. We only stayed one night since we were... More

I am, as I write this, staying at Hotelito Rolando. What a great experience!!! The house is full of Latin charm, the location is perfect and as I lie by the rooftop pool overlooking views of downtown Puerto Vallarta, the Cathedral and the ocean....I think want to never leave:) The owners are wonderful and have made me feel completely at... My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the 6 nights we stayed at Hotelito Rolando during the Easter holiday. On our arrival we were upgraded to a better room without any additional charge. The owners Jun and Chris were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a few blocks away from the main beach Playa de los Muertos, 10 minutes... More

The hotel is a hidden gem in the hills of old town. It is so colorful and charming. My sister and I stayed 3 nights and were in the Lorenzo room. Communication was a little awkward on sight but I would still stay there again. The room was comfortable and clean and cooled by a ceiling fan. I loved the... More

The decor at this converted home couldn't be more cheerful - from the architecture to the paintings, the landscaping, and the vivid wall colors. It's not for the traveler who is looking to be coddled with service, but it is for the tourist who knows how to enjoy being off of the beaten path. Just two blocks up the hill... More

This place has great potential. Jun & Erica are very kind and genuinely helpful. The rooms are good and have their own ensuite bathrooms. My boyfriend is very tall and they actually upgraded us to a room with a larger bed upon our arrival, which was most kind. Hotelito Rolando is excellently located and very cozy. However, at times we... More
