To start with, yes I'll be back. It's one of the better values in town for both location and price. You do need to understand that it ain't exactly the Ritz though. The positives: 1. Great breakfast - locally made, always has some kind of eggs, a spicy meat dish, fresh fruit and pastries with coffee and juice, yogurt, etc.... more

I was in the hotel 14 days and I was very pleased. the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and the beach not far away. very good to me like the the pool is also open to non-residents for the corresponding bar.Puerto Vallarta, unfortunately for me a little too much focus on venal sex. should change that and... more

I have stayed at Hotel Mercurio twice in the last month and I will stay there on my next trips to Puerto Vallarta as well. While the facilities need some updating (fresh paint, new furniture, newer lighting), this is the best hotel in Zona Romantica - - much better than the two other places I have stayed recently. The air... more

I've been a guest at the Mercurio for over five years and have been happy to return. This June that all changed. I was there several years ago when they did the photo shoot for the new website. Very classy, showed a very charming PV style "hacienda" with white walls, tile roof, etc. This is not a luxury property by... more

My partner and I stayed here for three nights during our vacation. Overall I'd say this was a great place to stay. Here are what I see to be the down sides of Hotel Mercurio: The bed was very firm, too firm for my liking The pool water was too hot Here are the up sides of Hotel Mercurio: The... more

This was my 3rd time to stay at the Mercurio and I was not disappointed. My airline lost my luggage and the reception staff looked after everything for me, they called the airline several times and kept me updated on when my bag would arrive. They also suggested a store I could go to buy a new tee-shirt. The hotel... more

I just returned from a 15 day stay at the Hotel Mercurio in Puerto Vallarta. The hotel is small (26 or 27 rooms) and is centrally located in the Zona Romántica. From there you can walk to the Playa de los Muertos, fine restaurants or great clubs in less than 10 minutes. Almost anything a traveler would want is within... more

Close to the beach, good location, away from traffic noise. Some rooms are very clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast, although some days no bread, Youghurt.(lot of shops around if they want to buy very quickly). Swimming pool was cold almost everyday and our last day we found out you have to asked someone to start the... more

The staff was great. Good service. Very helpful. English spoken by the majority of the staff. Breakfast was included every day at the bar by the pool. It was always wonderful. The only negative is that they did not have de-caf coffee available--but that was easily fixed by purchasing a jar of instant de-caf at local grocery. It is just... more
