The location is great, a ten minute walk into the old town. This is not a swank place. It is for real people who enjoy the simple pleasures of interacting with other people in a very relaxed, unsophisticated atmosphere. I'm surprised by the recent complaints on here about Casa Anita...I just got back 2 days ago, and thought it was ok. Granted, the wifi didn't work for me either, but you shouldn't go to Mexico just to spend all day on the internet. The rooms were pleasant and the overall setting was quite charming. I've been to Puerto Vallarta many times and this was my worst experience. No one greeted us, we carried our bags up several flights to the front desk - only to learn we were on the other side.
