I have stayed at the Hacienda @ 15 times in the last 5 years. I find it to be a great experience. I go to PV to enjoy the Mexican Culture and the Hacienda and its Beach Club is the perfect place to do so. The hotel , though older ,is unbelievably clean and often has many Mexican families staying... more

If you want a Spring break kind of vacation, this could be the place for you since you won't mind the Bed bugs and the drunken parties all around the hotel!!! Definitely won't recommend for families with little kids...no kids activities. Rooms, service and food are OK, looks better in the pictures than actual. more

My best friend and I booked this hotel through apple vacations. We picked it mainly on price point, and I was a little apprehensive given the reviews. Here's my review: Cons: This hotel is about 10 minutes by bus or car to downtown. Perfectly easy getting to downtown on the bus ($0.50) but ranged anywhere from $5-8 in a cab.... more

I enjoyed the old Mexico feel of the Hacienda. Sure the beds are hard and it's tough to lug 50lbs of scuba gear up four flights of stairs. The pool is nice. I agree with a previous reviewer that the street to the beach is an embarassment but maybe out of the hotel's control. My biggest complaint has to do... more

My husband and I took our daughter and her boyfriend for a two week stay to this hotel. Upon arrival our rooms were not quite ready but thats to be expected when a hotel is busy. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for our rooms. Later we asked the front desk if we could possibly have rooms closer... more

I just returned from a 2 week stay at Hacienda. and I have nothing but great things to say about this place. However, if you are looking for a posh, high class hotel, i wouldn't suggest staying there. It is a older hotel, but I found it to be gorgeous. the trees, the flowers, the gardens were lovely. it reminded... more

We have just returned from a week at the Haciend Hotel & Spa. The hotel is old and we have never experienced such incredible nightmare before. Check in was a really bad experience, we arrived at the hotel at 1 am so we were tired and sleepy all we wanted was to go to bed, to start with they branded... more

Dear Mrs. Isabella; On behalf of Hacienda Hotel & Spa, I would like to thank you for your comments, and at the same time to appologize for not exceeding your expectations. As the General Manager of this hotel, I’m concerned and very interested about my client’s comments. I know it is very important to hear all the feedbacks that would...

Sorry to say that our trip to Puerto Vallarta and the Hacienda in particular was a huge disappointment. Although the staff at the Hacienda was very nice, if you are looking for a special place to stay--stay away from this hotel. It is an old hotel with very few amenities--here are just a few of what we found: very old... more

My wife and I and 2 other couples booked the Hacienda in October (6 months earlier) for a March vacation. Upon arrival we were told the hotel was overbooked and we would be sent to a nicer hotel for 2 nights. After spending 2 hours haggling and moving, the other hotel was not as they said. We returned to talk... more
