Ok dirty cheap place if you wish to stay close to downtown. Really tough beds, but we enjoyed to ocean front balcony. Funky deco bathrooms. Breakfast was nothing but beans, potatoes and meat so we skipped this. More

Hotel Rosita is lovely. The architecture is neat and it's got great character. The front desk folks were always helpful, though some had better English than others. The hallways and common areas were decorated nicely, beautiful tables with comfy leather & wood chairs. DINING Breakfast is free with your room, but it's a Mexican breakfast, which I didnt find it... This is our second time staying at The Rosita and it was no disappointment. We didn't have an "ocean view" this time, but I think we liked this room even better. We had a view of the pool and could still see the bay from our window. Our room was huge with beautiful wooden furniture. We were comfortable just hanging... More

This is the first hotel built in Vallarta and it is in the most perfect tourist location. Everything is right outside the front door. I had the best tacos pasture at the stand right past the front door for 9 pesos. A few places offer $1 USD beers and every type of food imaginable. The huge lobby draws you into... More

We stayed at the Rosita for one week In March. We booked at the last minute relying on traveller's reviews and the hotel website. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel. We are not all inclusive travellers and this hotel in the city was ideal. We had booked a standard room but upgraded to a ocean view... More

Grandmother, daughter and 4 year old stayed in two oceanfront rooms in March,2012. We were so pleasantly surprised at the helpful staff, the proximity of beach, pool & malecon. What lovely days we had, strolling, swimming, sand castles & excellent restaurants.......... Even a McDonalds across the street with supermarket close by. And grandmother was able to catch CNN news every day.... More

Just yesterday I wnet with my husband to have breakfast at the hotel Rosita. My husband had won a 2 free buffet breakfast some weeks ago and we decided to use it. Fortunately we didn't have to pay for anyhting. Although the general manager was very nice (thanks), I was asked many questions about how I got the invitation, and... More

The hotel was built in 1948 and retains the characteristics of that era. Hugh gathering area with original brick arches, leather and wood rocking chairs and fabulous breezes. Hotel is very clean. Our room included breakfast which consisted primarily of beans, scrambled eggs, coffee, oj. Breakfast could offer more variety - like fruit. Also, breakfast tablecloths should be changed between... Built in 1948, the Rosita proudly boasts that it is the first tourist hotel built in Vallarta. The lobby is more like acreage, wide open to views and breezes directly off the beach in front. We had an outside room at the Super Saver rate and, while it was a bit noisy, it was tolerable. Rooms have guest controlled air... More

The Rosita hotel is located in the new malecon beach front, over 50 years old kept in pretty good shape all workers are locals and the atmosphere is authentic of a mexican town.. irt iss not the best hotel in Vallarta by far, but you will go back in time everytime you walk in. It is one of my favorites... More
