Our friends who own a Casa in Melaque recommended this property to us and coincidentally our son also stayed there and said it might be ok for us to stay there. They both said the location is great and the price was good. I normally like to stay in brand hotels with pillow menus and service and quality that I... More

If you stay at Rosita you can be assured that no outsiders will be able to have any contact with you. Everyone has to wear wristbands and you are not allowed in without one. Lovely pool and eating area. We had the ocean view room and it was beautiful and pleasant to hang out in. I would recommend it to... More

Hotel Rosita is a small Mexican Hotel. Has the basics, room, bed, bathroom, TV (mostly latin stations). Beds are as hard as a rock, but for a few nights not a huge issue. Rooms are clean for an aged hotel. People are friendly. Has a small bar and with some food offerings. Again, for a couple of nights this is... More

A very nice and friendly hotel; great rooms with good beds, and the possibility of ocean view rooms. The staff at the frontdesk is very friendly and helpfull, and the rooms are very clean. I stayed in the hotel 7 weeks, and every evening I saw a 'private' sunset from my balcony. They have a restaurant with good food and... More

I wanted to write a detailed review on Hotel Rosita because when deciding between different hotels I found other reviews so helpful. I also wanted to include details of our trip for other people who have never been to PV.I will break this up into separate sections in case you are looking for something specific. (1.Background/ 2.Room/ 3.Staff/ 4.Location/5. General... More

I booked this hotel through an online travel company. What impressed me was the location, the typical Mexican architecture of the hotel, and the promise that "a complimentary full breakfast is served daily". They did serve a free continental breakfast but the term "full breakfast" was quite a stretch. (Picture of my breakfast is attached). The Standard, Ocean View room... More

Jut spent two weeks at the Rosita in room 306. After 32 years of coming to Puerto Vallarta, it was about time to stay here and I was caught up in the experience, with the history, location and bygone-days charm. Room 306 had two double-beds (fairly comfortable) and basic furniture (desk, nightstand, extra chair), as well as a narrow balcony... More

Summary: very nice budget hotel - clean, quiet, friendly, well located. Restaurant service was disappointing. no coffee makers in rooms. An older crowd. This charming four-story budget ocean-front  hotel,  built in 1948, features surprisingly hard-to-find traditional Mexican architecture. The rooms offer at least decent-sized balconies, and end rooms facing the ocean have wrap-around balconies. The lobby provides ample sitting areas... More

My husband and I had stayed for two months in a resort in Nuevo Vallarta, and were all set to fly back to the States; unfortunately, all American flights to Dallas were canceled due to weather. And so, we stayed at the Rosita Hotel in downtown Puerto Vallarta. When we arrived, I was in a bit of a lather because... More

Having stayed in PV several times before we were not sure what to expect with Rosita being one of the oldest hotels in the City but this was perfect for what we were looking for. The lobby was large and clean, check in was a breeze, our room was clean no signs of mold, ocean view, ac and upon request... More
