I tried to book this hotel for Spring of 2016, and was floored to see that the prices of rooms have increased dramatically over what they were two years ago. I had thought that this was a relatively inexpensive place to stay. Somewhat Spartan, but clean and very convenient to the Malacon. They stopped the nice free breakfast buffet several... More

La Rosita Hotel is the oldest original hotel in Puerto Vallarta (est. 1948) and is located right on the beach and at the beginning of the famous Malecon boardwalk. We were a family of four, with two adult children, staying for a week at Christmas. The vast majority of the hotel guests were Mexican families. We did not pay resort... More

We spent 2 nights at the Rosita including New Year's eve. While the location is spectacular and right in the middle of all the action, the rooms need some attention. Even with the air conditioner running, it was impossible to get any cool air or breeze throughout the room. The room is very basic Mexican - hard mattress and rough... More

We stayed for three nights at the Rosita Hotel and we totally enjoyed it. Due to the occupancy rate, we had the luck to have a family accommodation (two big rooms), with basic decorations but clean and welcoming. The location is great, you can't ask for something more - mirroring the ocean and in the heart of the city. The... More

We took an acquaintances recommendation and cab bed to the historic Rosita on the North tip of the Malecon in Centro. The hotel is really not that special...just old mostly. We went for Sunday brunch, but I'm pretty sure it's the same every day...I know it is Saturday as well. 139p, I think...you pay on the way in and they... More

We got an oceanview room and couldn't believe how close to the ocean we were. If we wanted to see land we had to look straight down. The people who work there were extra nice. The room was big, the bed was a little too firm for my liking along with the pillows. But that certainly didn't stop us from... More

We booked an inexpensive room through Orbitz in order to both extend our stay, and get a less expensive air fare. The room was just on the street, but had double glass windows to cut down the noise. A surprise - the rate included a continental breakfast. However, that was just a plate of fruit, some "toast" and coffee. The... More

The rooms are big, they could definitely use some upgrades. However the Hotel is located within walking distance to most common places. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed for a week. Ocean front rooms are a must. We woke up to the most beautiful sunrise during our stay.
