I made a two-night reservation for this hotel six weeks before arrival, mainly because it was cheap. On check-in, the clerks told me that the rate had gone up -- way up! More than double. It is a run down hotel. Also, they try to sell you shares in the hotel for about 20,000 pesos. "To guarantee that you can get a room" The money is also said to be used for maintnence.
