We booked a room at the Mayan Palace and upon check-in we were "upgraded" to a larger 2 bedroom suite in the Sea Garden. Although both "hotels" share the same common grounds, the Sea Garden building is much older and a little rough around the edges. It's also a shorter walk to the beach, pool, restaurants etc. Staff here was... More

The resort consists of 3 blocks of rooms. One named sea garden, one named Mayan palace and a third. We originally stayed in the Sea Garden. The Lobby is nice, the location on the beach is lovely, the staff are really nice, the pool great (although a bit cold in January) the restaurants ok, the bars acceptable, the facility activities... We have been to the Sea Garden Mazatlan 5 times now. I have seen some changes this time, which is nice. We brought a group of 8 all together, so 10 in total to celebrate my husband's 40th and they were very accommodating. I requested all 3 rooms to be ocean view and near each other, they did even better... More

Great vacation! Can't wait to come back. The staff were welcoming, the food was fabulous, and the Sea Garden was right on the beach! The service was great and the people were all friendly. At first we had a backside room, but after a day, we were moved to a beach front room, very accommodating. The activities directors were all... More

Recently just returned home after a relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Mayan Sea Garden hotels. We were right on the beach (which I love!!) and about a 15 minute drive from downtown although we didn't go downtown since the hotel had perfectly fine accommodations for food and any other necessities we may have needed. The room itself was quaint... More

We go to the Sea Garden every November, and I've written several reviews of it before. But this year was different - they took a lot of suggestions that guests have made in the past and the place is now delightful! The restaurant has a nice variety of good food - some of it is expensive, but it's possible to... More

We especially liked how the sliding window opened all the way and you could experience the sound of theocean. The location and amenities were wonderful. Their 5-Star rating is a hint of what to expect: perfect in every way from accommodations & food quality to personal attention to guests by all staff members. Special thanks to Mario Tiznado (Chief Concierge) who was able to find tours to replace ones cancelled by heavy rains and to Jesus Osuna (Pool Bar) who was able to keep us... More

The hotel / resort is basically just OK. Upkeep of the pool is minimal, and pool and beach facilities are sub-par. I would stay at one of many better 3 star hotels closer to the center, at a small increase in room rate.
