Rooms are quite small. Kitchen cabinets were all under a counter so you had to stand on your head to get silverware or plates. Room key cards worked poorly--often took a half a dozen tries to open the door. Elevators were out of service several times and we had to use the service elevator. In room wifi prices have gone... We stayed with my extended family in two different rooms one with an ocean view and another without. The rooms are older and do need refurbishing; however, were clean. The beds were okay but the shower was really small. The water in our room had two temperatures scalding hot and cold. We were not in the room very much and... More

We stayed in February 2014. The bedroom is so small that you have to squeeze between the king sized bed and the dresser. The tiny bathroom is 2 doors down to the front of the unit. It has a tiny tub and one light in the ceiling. The water pressure was fine. There is an extra room that has a... More

Although I have been a timeshare owner at Sea Garden for 30 years, we last visited the resort 10 years ago. I'm happy to report that little has changed. Sea Garden is the older, more modest part of the Mayan property. The units are simple, clean, and comfortable. For those who are looking for luxury hotel accomodation...this is not for... More

Despite the fact that this property is most likely the least attractive of all Mayan properties, it is still GOLD STAR material. Staff are very friendly, accomodating and just great. Drawback, smokers at the pool area.

We were there in January of 2014. The facility is nice, clean, and attractive. A big plus is that half of the big pool was heated making it usable because this time of year it is really too cold to swim and most hotels don't have heated pools that are warm enough to actually get in. The food was good... More

We are Mayan timeshare owners and our favorite property is in Mazatlan. The staff are consistently accommodating and friendly. The grounds are groomed daily and housekeeping keeps common areas clean. Karen and Greg Wojtanowicz

This is our third trip to Mazatlan at the Mayan Sea Garden. This time we went alone, as we decided we needed a relaxing trip before Christmas. We love walking the beach and standing in the surf, and spent some time at the pool cooling off on the hottest days. The resort is very clean and staff are friendly. There... More

The best part about the Sea Garden is that, since it's a small resort, you're going to be treated like family. The staff is amazing - the waiters are your friends after 2 days, and Felix, a restaurant manager, will try to do whatever he can to make your experience a good one. The restaurant, which was less than wonderful... More

As the title suggests, there are good and less good sides of our experience at Mayan Palace/Sea Garden in August 2013. The good sides include very friendly staff, reasonable prices in the in-resort convenience store, and low-key waitstaff and good not-too-expensive drinks. The walk out to the ocean was easy, it's just past the main pool. We like the pool's... More
