I made a last minute decision to leave New York City for New Year’s and looked toward Mexico. I found my way to Mazatlan, Mexico and made arrangements to stay at the El Cid El Moro hotel. I checked in on New Year’s Day and was there for 8 wonderful days! From the moment I arrived, the very friendly front... more

My husband & I had a wonderful time at El Moro Tower and here's why: Our suite, which included a sitting room with a panoramic window view of the ocean, 24 floors below, a well stocked kitchenette, two clean lovely bathrooms, and a very private (albeit small) deck. We would sit out on our deck in the evening, sip gin... more

El Cid Castillo & Morro are low-class outdated hotels. Rooms were old, and overall unpleasant to look at. However they got their moderate plus rating I'll never know. The food was salty and often times unpalletable. There was always a funky smell in the hotel, outside, and in the room halls. After leaving the pool, we felt slimy. The town... more

Our family of 2 parents and 4 kids (ages 6-14) stayed in a 1 bdrm on the 22 floor. The view was spectacular!! Left our windows open wide to hear the waves. Rooms are large and super clean with optional daily maidservice. Biggest bathtub I've ever seen..circular in stone. Kitchen has no oven, but stove sufficent to cook. We reported... more

My husband and I stayed at the El Cid El Moro Beach hotel for 2 night for a quick little weekend to get some fun and sun in Mazatlan. We booked thru Hotels.com and had requested a king size bed. When we arrived and went to our room we were shocked to find these 2 beds that were on wheels... more

We stayed at the El Cid Moro through timeshare from December 17-27th, 2008. Pros: They checked us in with no problems. Loved our room which faced both the city and the ocean. Rooms were super clean.---No bugs at all anywhere. Room service was quick and yummy. Maid cleaned our room everyday. Pool was amazing!!! Right on the beach. Happening place... more

The El Cid El Moro Hotel was perfect in every way. We stayed there from Nov. 29th through Dec. 19th, 2008. This hotel is first-rate when it comes to customer service. Our first room wasn't the "view" I had "hoped" for. Because we were celebrating our anniversary, I wanted this room to have a great ocean view. My husband went... more

We have vacationed in Mazatlan at the El Cid El Moro Tower for more than 12 years. We call our annual 2-week stay there (most often with friends) the "Underachievers Club" since we take this time for the R&R that isn't possible in our busy lives! The resort has grown over the years, but retains its "user-friendly" atmosphere with great... more

This resort was great. Although we were given a very nice one-bedroom suite at check-in, it was not the room that my wife had seen pictures of and was excited to stay in. We just returned from El Cid El Moro today. We went as time share owners through Wyndham, not El Cid - it's an Associate Resort for us, not technically an "exchange." The main lobby area and restaurants are beautiful. We had two studio rooms at El Moro - one on the 5th floor and on on the 9th floor -... more
