Travelling to Mexico in April a bit off the beaten track, to Mazatlan where I was uncertain as what to expect. Arriving in the evening when it was dark allowed us to arrive as if blindfolded. In the morning I awoke to clear blue skies, a fantastic view out to the ocean and the small Deer and Bird islands on... more

Resort - Probably the best resort in Mazatlan. Love the pools they have. Beach in front of hotel was okay, we went when there are jelly fishes that stung a couple of people. Parasailing, banana boat rides, vendor peeps avail. Room- 23rd fl - elvators are small and shaky ride. small kitchen so u can cook save money, beds are... more

Could make this story long, but I won't. The bad was that the beds were hard ( we already read that before we came) We had sofa sleepers to start with, BUT when my friend was in the elevator at the tower the cord broke on the elevator at the 4th floor, and she and a worker fell to the... more

This was the worst experience I ever had,If you are in for a terrifying elevator ride and don't mind the impact of falling 10 to 12 feet to the ground in a elevator with no acknowledgment from the hotel staff this is the place to be. The thing was, I was treated like I made all this up and no... more

Beautiful resort. Wonderful view out the room and the restaurant had great food. Breakfast buffet was good. Our room had a sweeping view of the pool and ocean, and we left the doors open all night and slept with the ocean sounds. The beach area was a little difficult to get to from our room and took a while. No... more

I booked a room at the Castilla and had heard they were upgrading people to the El Morro because of the repairs on the Castilla pool. Well sure as heck upon check in they told me they were putting me in a 1 bedroom suite in El Morro. Sweet! That's about a $400.00 perk. I was on the 15th floor... more

The El Cid El Moro Resort is a beautiful resort and the staff were very accommodating to us. We had originally booked a lower floor which was not acceptable after we got there. The staff very graciously moved us to a higher floor which was great. As many reviews have stated, the balconies are scary with their low open railings.... more

My wife and I just completed our 10th vacation with the El Moro, El Cid. This trip as well as the trips in the past were great. Since Jose Velasco has taken over as room manager, our trips have been PERFECT. The staff seems friendlier and and smile more. We plan on coming back next year for another PERFECT vacation.... more

We stayed at the El Moro Tower for a week and had a great time. My in-laws have points with El Cid so the 5 of us stayed in a 2 bedroom. The rooms were very large, clean and had a great view. I liked the big windows that opened up to the beach. Yes there were no screens in... more

We just returned from the El Cid El Moro resort and had a great time. The service we received from the hotel staff was fantastic and not just good service for Mexico either. When we arrived, we upgraded from a room in the tower to a larger room by the North pool for $20/ night and it was well worth... more
