The El Cid is great! Don't listen to all the bad reviews! I think some people are just too picky. The lady who talked about having to pay for bottled water didn't mention that all proceeds from the sale of said water were donated to the El Cids Childrens foundation. Also, the water in the resort is all purified! I've... More

We are a family of 4, including two young children (1 1/2 and 3 1/2) and we stayed from Feb 8-15 (yes, a bit late. Sorry). My perspective is how we enjoyed our stay from a young family's point of view. My kids loved it, and so did my husband and I. We had the all inclusive deal (which I... More

This was our third visit to the El CId and it just gets better every time. Food was excellant, all staff were extremely frienldy and helpful. Everything was very clean. The beach is wonderful and there is plenty of shopping within walking distance. We are planning on going back next year!

Stayed here for three nights over spring break. Generally liked everything. The all-inclusive worked well for us, but this is our first experience with this option. The drinks were readily available either at one of the bars, or from the many servers wandering around (for those who complain about the quality of liquor at these places, ... get a grip!... More

This was my first experience of an all inclusive package. The resort was lovely, our rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. Food in the restaurants was great,( the dinner buffet, which we went to once was a bit blah but ok ) we liked that we could make reservations for 2 of the restaurants at the Castilla beach and 2 restaurants... My husband & I spent a week at El Cid Castilla & I wouldn't go back again. I was really disappointed by the All Inclusive package from Signature Vacations. There were some resteraunts & bars you could not use if you didn't have the super all-inclusive. The waitstaff wouldn't even acknowlege us at the one pool because you didn't have... More

My daughter & I and a group of 11 other adults stayed at this resort for 7 days at the end of January. After reading reviews I was both excited and a bit nervous. We had an absolutely excellent time at this resort. The food was fantastic, lots of choices, a number of different restaurants to choose from. We preferred... More

Just returned yesterday from a great time at the El Cid. We were there as an all-inclusive 7 day vacation. The hotel was clean, including the room with a great view. The staff are extremely friendly and spoke fairly good English. Although everything is all-inclusive, we tended to tip the waiters and the maids as you would when you visit... More

This was my first time in Mexico, but I traveled with family and a couple family friends and my parents had been to El Cid Castilla last year about this time as well. I must say I absolutely LOVED my time in Mazatlan, and I was extremely sad when it was time to leave. Unfortunately our party departed yesterday morning/afternoon... More
