My wife and I decided on Mazatlan for Thanksgiving this year and were very aprehensive about staying at a low-budget hotel, but had no choice. My brother had stayed at this hotel only a couple of months before, so armed with only that little information we decided to book the Azteca Inn. What a surprise! This little hotel was beautiful.... more

We wanted a 2nd honeymoon, and had not been to Mazatlan before. We were woken up every night by noisy neighbors (College students, children, adults). The regulars say they just put in ear plugs and keep going. The staff are great, and the breakfast has great American and Mexican quisine. Free web access at computer in office. Next time we'll... more

I was very pleased to find this nice motel so close to the night clubs and walking distance to the beach, that also had a bar and pool! The price is very reasonable, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here again, and recommend it to any students or budget minded travelers. more

We stayed at the Azteca for two weeks in January 2006, as part of a package deal from Vancouver. The Azteca is good value as included in the package. It is a motel style hotel located in the heart of the Zona Dorada. It is not ocean front, but is within easy walking distance of many restaurants and beachfront hotels.... more

This was a great budget hotel. It is right in the middle of everything! The hotel was clean, the staff was great and the rooms were a really good size. It is right across the street from the beach. You can only get to the nice beaches from the beach front resorts but the hotels gives you free tickets to... more

The Azteca Inn was exactly what my family (couple + 2 young kids) wanted: it's clean, it has a pool, it’s walking distance from a large number of eateries, it's a very short walk to the beach and it’s a short cab ride from downtown. The service was fine and the staff were friendly. In some ways, the Azteca is... more

I stayed here Dec 30-Jan 6. It is in a good location for an off beach hotel, close to restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant prices were very reasonable and the food was good. The room was larger than I expected. The major problem is that the walls are paper thin, so you can hear everyone in the rooms next... more

Within two hours of arriving in Mazatlan, our room was entered at the Azteca Inn, a keyed entry, and we were robbed. The maids were already gone, the only other people who had the key was the front desk. We were in the pool and we noticed an employee, the pool maintenance man, was constantly walking around the bar and... more
