Since 1988 every year i vacation in mazatlan and i have stayed in every hotel in the golden zone. of all the hotels the best hotel for me is the tropicana the reason is most hotels are too strict making guest feel uncomfortable they have security watching you come and go that is a big problem if you have a... more

Have stayed there for the 4 years and now have atimeshare. The new name is Playa Bonita. It was bought buy the Pardos(jewelry store). He is going strictly timeshare. They are doing a total reno. That will be good. They don't let any students in anymore because of the hassle. Works for me. Yes the rooms are just ok but... more

Typically run down but clean. 1 block from beach. Staff is nice. Great view from balconies. Within easy walking distance of all the Zona Dorada attractions. If you just want a place to sleep it's not a bad spot. more
