My husband and I have been to Mazatlan before and opted for this hotel for its location and convienence. The room was kept exceptionly clean by the maids--even if we left the thanks but no thanks card on the door and bed. For the most part, the Los Sabalos served its purpose as a place to stay and shower after being in the pool or ocean. The rooms were nice and the views were breathtaking. Los Sabalos is not 5 star maybe a 3. Contrary to other reviews it is kept clean and pest free -- saw one cricket that was probably mistaken for a cockroach by others -- and a lonely, small gecko on the living room ceiling -- the local pest control system.
