Bad overall. Very old building and furnishing, noisy and uncomfortable beds. At 3 am people were singing by the pool so I had to call front desk to send a security guard to quiet things down.I would not recommend this hotel and I don't understand some of the positive reviews.

My wife and I stayed here in February 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a junior suite overlooking the ocean. The hotel is small, is not a resort as such, but enjoys a convenient location, with parking in front, either on the street or in its own parking lot across the street. If you are like us, you... Beautiful spot! Beds are harder we had a double room and doubled up the matresses it helped. Clean rooms and property. Excellent service staff were super awesome. Food was delishious. This was my first major siuth trip and I loved it. The hotel is up higher than the beach which is nice to keep the vendors from soliciting you. Great... More

Costa de Oro, was an average resort...older, more traditional, nothing too fancy. Good location, but few restaurant options there... staff average, food average, but we loved the location, nice sandy beach, and beautiful view...oh, and the pool and seating is up high, so not too many vendors to bother you from there!

I've been a timeshare owner here for almost 20 years. The buildings are not shiny, but very clean and oh so comfortable. The location is great, easy to walk to Pancho's Restaurant and across the street to Rico's Coffee shop and Gus Gus at night for awesome bands and good food. The pool is a nice size and always clean.... More

spent 5 days here in july and had a good time. The hotel need work but it was fine for an average relaxing trip. The rooms are ok but could use some updating. At 1 point we lost cold water for a few hours but they did fix it. The pull out couch was a trundle bed and not meant... More

Costa de Oro is like your favorite old shoe….somewhat worn & scruffy around the edges but oh so comfortable and easy to slip on. As other reviewers note, the staff makes the place. Most have been there for many, many years and all will go out of their way to smooth out any rough spots. And let’s face it, this... More

We were happy that Costa De Oro accepted visitors to their pool area. Happy hour at 1:00 was great. Spent many hours reading books and enjoying the view if the Islands right out front. Can't wait until our return next year Pancho. Very clean and friendly staff.

Had a fairly good time there this year. As usual the staff from top to bottom is what makes this place go and keeps people coming back. Management doesn't seem to want to spend any money to bring the place up to date. The pool, which is beautiful, was so cold you could not stand it. They have a heater,... More
