Spent two weeks June 2009 on our second visit to Costa de Oro and very likely will go back again. This is an older facility but kept in good repair and with a seasoned and responsive staff. We love this place. What they post in their website is the actual what to expect of the beach hotel. The staff is friendly, huge food serving and especially for kids sharing is good to avoid waste even you're all inclusive. We stayed there for 2 weeks in March, and look foward to our trip next year! The only problem was with ants, so they gave us a can of raid!I read complaints about the mattresses, but they were all replaced while we were there. more

We stayed here 10 days at the end of February. We were in room 351 of the 4 story low rise section. I reccomend not staying in this room. It is very near the waterfall and they turn it on at 830am and it is very noisy, so if you plan on sleeping in late, you are out of luck.... more

My Husband and I loved Mazatlan and our stay at Costa De Oro hotel was super!!! the staff are fantastic, the food tasty and although the rooms were basic, they were clean.
