Are you looking for an inexpensive hotel within walking distance to Old Town Mazatlan, and the Olas Altes beach across the street from the entrance then book LaSiesta Hotel. Our stay for two nights adequately served our needs. If you are expecting Ritz Carlton type rooms, then go elsewhere. Our room had two double beds, and a bathroom. The air... More

i stayed here for a week. i didn't have any problems with noise from neighbors, the walls are nice and thick unlike american hotels. the hotel is very clean and well maintained, yes it's an older hotel but didn't feel dingy, very charming and not cookie cutter like the tall hotel down the street.the shower pressure was adequate and the... We stayed here two nights, mainly because we'd been traveling and hadn't accessed wifi to choose any other option. The good...balcony overlooking the Malecon, good A/C, clean room, helpful staff, hot water and small pool, and easy access to Old Town buildings. The not so good....noisy with kids running around till 11:30pm, spotty wifi. The building has been there since... More

Great location, across the street from Olas Altes beach andw very close to Plaza Machado and Centro Historico. Rooms were definitely clean (although tired looking). Staff friendly. Main issue is that on the weekend, Olas Altes is a noisy nightime party zone. Even the hotel was noisy (all rooms open onto a central courtyard, which either had noisy families (who... More

Spent a couple of nights here while visiting for the first time. It's a good value. Clean, neat, good sized rooms, balcony overlooking the malecon & ocean, lovely courtyard & pool. The only difficulty was the spotty Internet.

I spent a few nights at the Hotel La Siesta. The hotel is very well located right next to the beach and in the old centre of town, which is very pleasant for an evening walk and has plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The rooms were clean and well arranged, not particularly stylish but comfortable. The view from the... More

Spent 9 days over Carnival, perfect spot for Carnival, beaches, downtown, etc. and truly an economical option -100% satsified. Friendly staff, especially Ruth who speaks good English. Large and very clean room with everything working fine, just right for a budget stay, unpretentious is the word. Hotel takes security and service seriously. Would definitely stay there again any time.

1st of all, I want to thank the front desk staff for honoring my request for a specific room! Everyone at the hotel is very friendly and willing to assist in any way needed. The hotel is older, but our room, the pool area and the bathrooms by the pool were always spotless! The stairs and "hallways" could use some... More

the old town, away from the touristy Zona Dorada, is our preference when visiting Mazatlan. La Siesta is an unpretentious hotel. It sits across the street from the Malecon, and has ocean-facing views with a balcony.
