This was a wonderful hotel. We had a room on the northside with an ocean view. We sat on our baloney every morning and enjoyed the sound of the ocean and sipped our coffee. The bed was great. I've slept on concrete bed in Mexico but this was a nice pillow top. The room was clean and well maintained. We... more

This hotel is one of the best in Mazatlan. The location is perfect, close enough to town to be accessible and on a great beach. Room was great, spacious and with a phenomenal view. Only complaint is that their bartender needs to learn how to make a decent margarita. more

My family of 6 stayed at this hotel in January. A two year old and 5 adults including one senior of 82 years. There were lots of seniors, young kids, young couples, Mexicans, Canadians and Americans. We found the best thing about the hotel is its very friendly and helpful staff, great restaurants, super clean beach and hotel and its... more

We just got back from this resort and loved it! Excellent location in the Golden Zone. This is a beautiful property and it has a great beach. I think it is one of the best beaches in the Golden Zone. Many great restaurants and and lots of shopping are within walking distance to the resort. Probably better places to eat... more

We stayed here July 11-18. Two adult couples. This is a great vaule hotel. Be advised that this property is not what Americans typically would rate as a better property. Our entire stay we heard maybe 4 other guests that spoke English. it was quite nice, actually! Apparently this place is more popular with the Nationals. We opted for the... more

Great location! Lots of locals on the beach, kind of busy at times. The food was okay. The show that is advertised wasn't all that (food was bland). Keep in mind accomodations aren't what we are used to here in the states. I would stay again. Super friendly staff and felt very safe. more

I have been loyal to this hotel for the last 10+ years, despite some problems in previous stays but this time I noticed several areas of concern and disappointment. The room are not as nitid as they used to be. Showers are not well maintained, rusted in some areas and leak under the shower doors (you have to keep on... more

Our family of 9 stayed at the Hotel Playa Mazatlan over Christmas 2007 and found the hotel to be excellent value. Great location, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Beautiful beach. Hotel very clean. Would definitely stay here again. more

The toll free number on their website does not work. Sent them 3 emails and got no response. Finally got an actual phone number for them and confirmed room twice to make sure I got deluxe ocean view which I did. Service is VERY BAD. If you are a gringo you get treated like dirt. I was ignored many times... more
