Ocean view was great. Right on the beach. Pools were very crowded. Staff spoke good English. more

We had a wonderful stay at the Playa Mazatlan. We were especially impressed by how clean the rooms and property were. The staff seemed very dedicated to the guests. Even the general use bathrooms near the beach were always clean. The area by the water was one of the best beach access points for as far as we could see... more

Location, Location, Location is what the Playa Mazatlan represented to us. Never having been to Mazatlan before, we did not realize the Hotel was in the heart of the Golden Zone. Actually, 40 years ago when the Playa Mazatlan opened was when the Golden Zone began. We would not take the all- inclusive option again as there is only one... more

There were 7 in our family that went on this 1st time trip to Mazatlan. The hotel was nice enough and like I said friendly people and the beach at the hotel was cleaned every morning by the same nice young fellow. You had to go early in the a.m. to get a spot with a cabana or you were... more

We spent 2 weeks at the Playa Mazatlan. The hotel's location was very good. We had a good room on the second floor, with ocean view and huge balcony, however, we were very close to the restaurant and at apporx 6 a.m. each morning we were woken to scraping chairs and banging . The beach was lovely and we walked... more

This is a authentic hotel that has been here for about 50 years and is not a high rise! We seek out the smaller properties for the better service and rustic charm. The Beach here was fabulous and did not have the hoards of trinket sellers asking and interrupting your sun rays. Food was good and the price was excellent.... more

Just came back from 5 night stay in Playa Mazatlan. It was our second time in Mazatlan and we intentionally chose this hotel based on its location, which was the only positive about this hotel. It's right in the middle of the Golden Zone and you can walk to multiple bars and restaurants and it is very close to the... more

My friend and I had room with an amazing ocean view. It was very clean and quite spacious. The service was great as well. Our only complaint is that the restaurant at the hotel had poor service and the food was only average. Also, we could here loud music playing from 2 night clubs in the area (the oyster bar... more

My husband and I went to Mazatlan from Jan 17-21. We booked with Apple Vacations on a last minute deal. We were very pleased with everything. After reading previous reviews, when we checked in we asked for a quiet room. We wanted to avoid the noise factor from the restaurant and Joe's Oyster Bar. We were given an absolutely wonderful... more

This is the best motel on the beach. You have the lounge chairs and cabanas right on the sand, not up in the air-way back on a cement deck-like other motels. (we walked the beach and no other motels compared). Lots of sand , wide beach in front of it too. Very clean, friendly people, reasonably priced snack bar for... more
