I love this place! Absolutely beautiful location, right on the beach with a great view, and you can conveniently walk to restaurants, shopping, the American and Canadian consular agencies, and so on. Ocean view was great. Right on the beach. Pools were very crowded. Staff spoke good English. more

We have stayed here four times so far and it has usually been an excellent experience. This time however, the front counter service was a bit slow and rude. I had fun in Playa Mazatlan. The Hotel is beautiful and right on the beach with the best views of the neighboring islands. The food at the hotel was good and well priced. I enjoyed my stay at the Playa. There was a lot to do in the golden zone. You could walk and feel safe within the blocks around the hotel. My husband and I loved the Playa. We stayed there in Februaury 05. We did have the same issue as antoher Trip Advisor user - we reserved a single and got a double. Still a wonderful place.
