We stayed at the Mayan Palace Mazatlan in Aug 2014 and were pleased with our stay. The accommodations are comfortable and clean, although a little dated. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The highlight was swimming in the waves on the beach located adjacent to the property. We also got to watch the sunset each day from the beach.

Nothing similar to the others Mayan Palace Resorts. Is the same Vidafel hotel as it was more than 15 years ago, but with less amenities, no free wifi at the lobby or at the pool like in any other more than 3 stars hotels. The rooms are small and there are only 1 bed, the others beds are under the... More

Unless you are in what appears to be the newest building, and you reserve a suite as we did, the other buildings look run-downed and depressing. This is predominantly a time-share resort, a property of Mayan Resorts. To start, a great disappointment was the exorbitant Internet charge of approximately $75 for 7 days per device. What is even more outrageous... More

This was my first time going to Mexico and now I want to go every year! The resort was stunningly beautiful and I felt very safe there. The workers are all very friendly and I loved that they were not afraid to joke around with the guests. I honestly feel like I can say that I have friends that work... More

The hotel was very well kept and always clean, however there was no water in the hotel for an entire day. This occurred on the third day at the hotel. We were not notified of the issue until I turned on the faucet and there was no water from any faucet. When I called the receptionist they stated they were... More

The resort is beautiful, and the beach is great. The restaurants, and bars, are reasonably priced. The resort's staff speak numerous languages, including english, and always available to be of assistance. They do offer trips to nearby areas of interest, including snorkel and fishing trips. I suggest you rent a car and explore the area. The roads are well maintained,... More

Our master suite was huge! It was spotless and very very comfortable for 2 couples. the grounds are immaculate. Just a very nice place. the staff are lovely. Only drawback is it is past the marina so a bit of a trek to town. Beach really nice - great boogie boarding when I was there! We had ocean front so... More

This was our first visit to Mazatlan and stayed at El Cid for the first week so checking into the Mayan the second week felt like coming home! We spent 3 weeks in Mazatlan. First in Isla de Piedra, second in this resort and the last in Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay. This is a very nice resort and great beach, but the restaurant prices are, as expected, very high and they charge and overcharge for internet. This is offset by the 7 peso, $.50, bus fares to the... We stayed in the Mayan Palace (Regency) from Jan. 25th to Feb. 8th. We have been to Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo but love the beach in Mazatlan as you can walk for miles.
