We stayed at the RIU Emerald Bay for 6 days the second week of August. This was the 3rd RIU we have stayed at. All were in Mexico. This one was our least favorite. The hotel itself is nice and as always, very clean. The elevators were indead a nightmare. We were on the 10th floor out of 20 floors... More

If you are looking for a little bit of tranquility and want a great all inclsive, this is a great hotel. It is out of the party zone and downtown, about 10 minutes drive but has a great beach. It is a very new hotel tgat gives you great views. Has everythjng you could hope for from a Riu brand... More

We have been to Mazatlan many times, staying in various condos. We wanted a very relaxing (no brainer) holiday for 2x weeks in August. We decided to go to the all-inclusive Riu Emerald Bay Resort. The reviews of this property were mixed, however, we have found that many reviews are overly critical on food and staff so we tend to... More

As far as All Inclusives go, the Riu Emerald Bay was a good one. The food was good, the property was well maintained and the location right on the beach was great. What really set this resort apart for me was the staff. The servers in the restaurants were attentive and hardworking. The activities staff did a great job also.... More

The Riu Mazatlan is definitely worth looking into if you are planning any type of vacation to Mazatlan and just want to hang out on the beach or in the poolside bar to relax. They have great customer service and an excellent array of food available 24 hours a day. They have several bars and restaurants, so you don't have... More

We stayed at the Riu Emerald Bay April 2013. I was a it skeptical at first, however the view from the honeymoon suite was amazing. Further the weather was nothing but sun the entire week we were there. The staff were all very nice and would remember you day to day. Food was good, although the only sit down and... More

I loved my stay at Riu and enjoyed the friendly staff and relaxed feeling of the resort. The buffet breakfast in the morning is mind blowing, as there is so much food available. The beach has white sand and comfortable chairs to rest on. Although I did not go in the pool myself, it looked very fun because many children... More

Stayed at RIU Mazatlan and enjoyed a great vacation! Rooms: Stayed in the honeymoon suite. Not as nice as advertised, pretty generic for resort vacations. However it had an amazing view of the ocean! The elevators take awhile to use but it didn't bother us too much. Beach: Awesome beach. There is a few rocks far right of the beach... More

Our first visit to Rui Dec 2102 was fabulous..loved it! Love Mazatlan! We were there for 2 weeks with some good friends.. We all had a wonderful time. Food was really good, lots of variety, great wait staff! Pedro Costa and his wife Sarah are the best! The beach is endless, unique and interesting. We felt very safe. Sunsets over... More
