Its ok not to have access to the beach, but what really bothered me was that the sweamming pool was freezing because it doesn't have a heater. So if you are are here for the sun, beach and sun, Casa Lucila won't definitely be it.

We visited Mazatlan for the Carnaval and I chose this hotel for its proximity to the old town and its location along Olas Altas which is near the Carnaval festivities. We stayed 3 nights in Lucy. It was very spacious and we had 1 extra single bed placed in the room. The room is very clean and the air conditioning... More

Our recent stay at Casa Lucila was outstanding. This lovingly restored and beautifully decorated hotel is a gem! Every inch of the hotel is aesthetically pleasing and the owners Conchita and Chris strive to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable. We spent wonderful evenings and mornings at the restaurant, food is delicious and atmosphere is warm and friendly. The philosophy... More

My husband and I returned a year later with friends for our second stay at Casa Lucila. The location of the hotel is wonderful in relation to the historic district (easy walking and yet just far enough away to be quiet in the evenings). The food in the restaurant was delicious and we especially loved the homemade cinnamon buns in... More

We loved our stay at Casa Lucila! The hotel was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the Lety room on the second floor. It had a table and chairs so we could hang out on the balcony and enjoy the great views of the ocean and fabulous sunsets. We even spotted some whales! It's an ideal location if you want to... More

This is a boutique hotel. Every touch is exquisite, from food, to design, to service. We were in the Marina room, huge with very comfortable bed, fridge and giant bathroom. Hair dryer and iron also included. Plenty of space to hang up our clothes, luxurious towels and linens. We also had a large balcony, with chairs and a lounge chair.... More

We had an excellent meal in the restaurant and then returned the next night for a dessert. Chris and Conchita have done a wonderful job of restoration of the hotel and lobby as well as hosting guests in the new restaurant.

I have been coming through Mazatlan 3 or 4 times a year for the past four years. My normal hotel had quadrupled it´s price for the holiday season so i decided to look around. I shifted from the zona dorado…the more traditional vacation hotel strip, to the more historic part of town. From the moment you walk in the door... More

I recently stayed at Casa Lucila (CL) and I couldn't ask for more from the city of Mazatlan and this wonderful boutique hotel. This was my first trip to Mexico and as such my Spanish was below sub-par. Upon arrival I was welcomed by the CL staff who immediately recognized my lack of Spanish fluency and was very accommodating in... More
