Having visted Manzanillo a few times we wanted a month long stay and were induced by an advertisement in CARP Magazine to try Long Stay Vacations through Uniglobe Plus Travel in Toronto. We booked a month long stay at Olas Altas in Manzanillo. On arrival we were shocked to find the suite dirty, no toilet seats, shower doors falling off, burnt lamp shades, mold in the showers, leaky plumbing and doors that would not fasten rendering the suite completely unsafe.
We complained and were provided with a different suite in another of their properties in Manzanillo. This place was a little cleaner but it was dangerous which should have been obvious from the black soot on the ceiling. This was from a faulty water heater which actually blew up during our stay. There were noisy parties going on at all hours of the night and a car which revved up its engine at 5.00 a.m. every morning.
