We'd been travelling for 5 months and had just had 6 nights in Mexico City, so La Perla was the perfect place to wind down before heading back to snowy Canada. From the beginning, they went that bit extra; the manager, Lorena, came to meet us off the bus at 7am and, after we'd unloaded our bags and settled in,... More

David and Lorena provide a relaxing, friendly B&B with lots of advice on where to dine and activities to try. We came to Rancho Perla Negra to relax - what a great place we found! The sunsets are absolutely stunning! During the day the ocean breezes provide a comfortable setting on the patio and by the pool. We loved the... More

All I have to say is that I've never been disapointed in staying at ElRancho Perla Negra and that has been for over four years now. David you and your assistant manger lorena were the best that any one could ask for. You both were very attentive to our needs and enjoyed the conversation we had on the patio. You... More

If you are looking for the real Mexico without the tourists or the traps to go with, then this is for you. Just simple quite accommodations with great people, and the million dollar view all to yourself. You can't beat the price with Dave as the most attending host, and Lorena there cooking up some killer authentic food. And the... More

Altho we are US Citizens who live in this wonderful country of Mexico, we like everyone else enjoy our vacations. Rancho Perla Negra is at the top of our favorites calling us to return time and again mostly in part of it's congenial host David who is always attentive to his guests wishes. The ambiance of this tranquil getaway will... More

My husband and I just returned from a 4 day stay at the Rancho. It was our first trip on our own since having kids, and this was just what we needed! We flew into Puerto Vallarta and then took a nice bus ride down to Manz. I would fly into Manz next time, but it was a great way... More

My fiancee and I stayed 6 nights at El Rancho Perla Negra in April 2008. Our decision on where to stay while in Manzanillo was based primarily on positive Trip Advisor reviews and pictures viewed on the Rancho Perla Negra website. We were very pleased with our decision; it was perfect for us. Very clean and quiet, with beautiful views... More

I reviewed the pictures, etc. from the website and felt a bit unsettled at not being able to get a full view of the rooms and the quality. I heard troubled stories about bugs and strange creatures, being that Manzanillo is tropical. But the price was so very reasonable, that I opted the El Rancho Perla Negra as my place... More

El RanchoPerlaNegra has been our vacation spot in Mexico for the last three years. David, the property manager, is very helpful with great suggestions for good restaurants, shopping, activities, etc. The most awesome ocean views and magnificent sunsets can be found here. One can easily relax by the huge pool, sit in the patio area, or nap in the hammock.... More

I found this to be a much better experience than staying in a crowded resort area. This was truly the Mexican experience. Our host David was available for all our needs and arranged for everything to make our trip a wonderful experience. The hospitality was great, the food was authentic and wonderful, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. I... More
