For being Manzanillo, a tourist expensive destination, Zar Manzanillo is a good choice, budget, good for your money. It's in San Pedrito, an ok beach but hotel is clean and nice. They can do some improvement on their showers on the rooms.

This hotel is what I would refer to a mexica boutique hotel, modern design with bright colors oocation is not for a vacationing family in the sense that it is situated in the downtown of a port city, even though a beach is across a walking path the beach is small and frequented by locals due to its proximity to... My friends and I stayed for 1 night in transit. We booked online and ended up having to pay more when checking in for more people when online it simply said per room. No clean towels and the shower/bath clogged up after only two people using it. Good view of the beach and a pool on a positive note. Staff... More

Hotel is average at best. The bathroom toilet seat doesn't stay up. Hardly flushes. Shower looks cool but the doors are lame and goes off track. The room is spacious and has bright colors. Front desk guy quoted us 540 pesos or 41 dollars. He leaves and another lady comes to book our room. It changes to 45 dollars. Nice... More

We stayed here for about a week during Easter/Spring Break week. We chose it because most of the other hotels were sold out due to the holiday. The staff are all very nice and helpful, especially the manager who speaks English. Cons: 1. Air conditioning: The air conditioning did not work well at all and our room never cooled off.... More

Several friends and I had made plans to stay here for New Year's Eve holiday, but there were lots of snags. One friend got moved around to different rooms, having made it clear he wanted a beach side window...lots of booking problems for him. The hot water did not work half the time in my room. With holiday schedule, no... More

Not really cheap. Big rooms with uncomfortable beds. The shower is a plastic cabin unclean and scary. The furniture is quite new but already rusty because of humidity. When we arrived they had never heard about our reservation (even if we booked directly with them over the phone 2 days before and provided the reservation number). They confirmed breakfast was... Remember the movie "The Life of Pi"? In one of the scenes, shipwrecked Pi finds himself on an uninhabited island where he finds food and fresh water. He later finds out that this much expected oasis turns carnivorous at night and now he knows why all the animals in the island run to seek shelter before the sun goes down.... More
