My boyfriend and I recently met up with his extended family at the Dorado Pacifico. While we did not book an all-inclusive stay, it certainly felt that way because of the high-quality service we received, the convenient amenities available at the hotel and the fact that we basically spent our 5 days in Ixtapa within 1 block of the hotel.... more

I had a great time, had a blast . My friends here at work told me about this place, and I did not want to go, becuase I was afraid! But I had a great time. I have been looking on line for days now, actually months to find a good deal! And I think after today I will go... more

We had a junior suite facing the ocean on the 6th floor, very nice views off the balcony and the room was huge..The hotel put on some very nice shows and the two social directors were hilarious..The food was good but expensive so we mainly ate out across the street, don't eat at the places right across the street (they... more

This hotel was not fancy, but it was very comfortable, and in a prime location. The Dorado Pacifico is directly across the street from the shops and restaurants, so there are many options for meals. We spent the first few days at Las Brisas, and though it was very nice, it was too far from town, and not at all... more

We celebrated my parents 50 wedding anniversary with three generations of our extended family represented at the Dorado Pacifico in Nov of 2008. I was hesitant about going...How would we entertain 9 children in age from 5 years to 15 years, 7 adults in their 40's and my folks who are in their 70's at a hotel with nothing but... more

We booked this through a travel agent and was our first time to Mexico for vacation. The pool and beach side accommodations were well maintained and the staff were all very friendly. The room rate was reasonable but there were some concerns that any visitor should be aware of. First some of the electrical in the room raised concerns. There... more

My friend Sonya and I stayed at the Dorado Pacifico for a week in early March and it was WONDERFUL! The service was amazing from our first minutes there - many thanks to Adan, Ricardo, Antonio, and all the friendly staff! The hotel is beautiful, the views are beautiful, the food at the restaurants is wonderful, and we had a... more

We are still here as I am writing this. We have a party of 11, ranging in age from 9 months to 47 years. I will try to go step by step. 1. Do not pre-pay for the transfers to and from the airport. Taxis are inexpencive, plentiful and safe. A Nissan Sentra size taxi from the airport to Ixtapa... more

I was afraid this place had changed since there is a war going on but it was just like the Ixtapa I remembered from past trips. Ixtapa has one of the great walking beaches in the world and it has a lot of Mexican tourists who use the beach to stroll and run on all day and night. We were... more

This was my first time @ the Dorado Pacifico, although I have been to Ixtapa 3 times prior. This was my husband's first time in Ixtapa. We Loved the Dorado!! We were there on Valentine's Day and everyone at the hotel went ALL out--hotel was decorated, all the hotel staff wore red and white, special music, and the hotel restaurants... more
