Stayed @ InterContinental Presidente the week of Valentines & thought it was an amazing value! Prior to arriving, we booked one of the less expensive rooms with an "oceanview". When we arrived, we found that it was in the tower (14th floor) so we quickly upgraded for WAY cheaper than booking it in advance. Only paid $120 more total for... more

Well we just got back from Ixtapa Mexico staying at the Presidente. We read all the reviews before we went and we were very concerned about what we were going to see when we got there. Let me tell you yes the hotel is a 30plus year old resort but what a nice place.. VERY clean great staff very nice... more

Once again we went back to the Inter-Continental Presidente in Ixtapa. We had a great time and great weather as usual. We could see that the hotel is repairing certain things and trying to make the hotel look nice. This is our 7th time to Ixtapa and the 4th time staying here. The people around the hotel are constantly cleaning.... more

Firstly, I can't imagine anyone having a bad time at the InterContinental Presidente. From the moment we arrived (which was 2am) we were greeted with friendly and accommodating service. Our initial bellman, Teodoro, became the first of many friends we made with the staff of this hotel. From Lucas the bartender to Addie and Kali at the recreation desk, the... more

We arrived on February 11, 2009 to a beautiful day in Zihua -85 degrees and sunny. It was like that all week. We have been to Ixtapa several times before, but this was the first time at the Presidente. Check in went quickly and very smooth. We stayed on the 17th floor in the tower with an excellent ocean view... more

My husband and I stayed as part of an event that doubled as a vacation. In general, the staff that we meant were very very very friendly and that was wonderful. Jorge, Carmen, Lucila, Samuel - all wonderful! The Rooms: The rooms left something to be desired. Dirty, peeling paint, a shower that leaked everywhere, red 'stain' on the tile... more

Just got back from Presidente in Ixtapa. This is our third year in a row at this resort and it continues to be one of my favourites. Here is my review: The good - The reason I come back is the quality of the food - I am a basic plain eater - breakfast buffet was great - omlettes -... more

My husband and I stayed here for 7 days and is was pretty good. The hotel isn't to much to look at and needs some major up grades, kinda falling apart but it is built in the 70's. every room has a great view we stayed in the garden area and had a great patio that over looked the pool... more

This very long and detailed review was VERY WELCOMED. It is always gratifying to find comments posted in a very positive way. In this day and age it is my opinion that folks should look to the positive...and put aside negativity. I thank this Reviewer for his posting and look forward to his next visit with us.

I ended up at the Intercontinental as a fluke (problems with my reservation at another hotel). I booked the room through Expedia on the day of my arrival, a wopping $400 a night. The first room the hotel showed me was filthy. There was food on the floor, and the bathroom was covered with mold and mildew. The second room... more

This was our 4th stay, however we had 40 people (including children) in our group this time. Previous visits were just with several couples. Being all inclusive for the price we felt it is a good value. As some of the other reviews stated the rooms can be a bit noisy, but wasn't a problem for us. The beds are... more
