We have just returned from the Camino Real. Great holiday. Over all, everything was great. Very hot. The pool was fabulous and no problem getting chairs!!! No bugs. LOTS of walking up and down from our room. We did the all inclusive which was new. Only downside to that was that you had to sign after every meal and after... More

The Camino is a graceful, restful resort with carefully painted buildings, a cheerful and helpful staff, a great beach and decent food. The rooms each have a private balcony facing the ocean, and a well stocked bathroom. The safe is free and ours worked perfectly. Our bed was comfortable and our neighbors quiet. Our room (33) showed its age. The... More

Over the seven days my wife and I spent at 'CRZ' in mid January, we spotted 51 bird species on the grounds of the resort. Most of these were seen in the early morning hour after sunrise when we walked the dirt and access roads on the far east end of the grounds. Best bird: Citreoline trogon (Trogón Citrino). Interestingly... More

Stayed at the Camino Real first week of February 2015. Guests are largely either Mexican nationals or Canadians. Pluses: Quiet. Saw one mosquito and zero issues with sand flies or gnats (as others reported) Plunge pool nice option with room Never a problem with beach or pool chairs; plenty available or they will bring more if needed; beach towels plentiful... We had the pleasure of staying at this resort the week before Christmas. This was our third visit to Huatulco, our first being at Barcelo and second at Secrets. Great first impression driving up the high winding driveway, being escorted to the huge open air reception palapa, offered a welcome drink, walking down the steps cut into the landscape, surrounded... They have redone the pool and have replaced the very hard mattresses. However, the room we had was suppose to have two queen size bed but only had two full size ones. They also charged for use of the wifi in the room for each device but you could use the wifi in the lobby for free. We did have... More

Pros: The room was spacious, great view. We liked that the beach was private. The staff was wonderful. We loved the breakfast spread overlooking the ocean. The pool is great. Everyone was friendly and accommodating to our 8 mo old. Cons: biting flies on the beach and around pool are bad, I have itchy welts all over my legs. Also... More

We have gone to Camino Real Zaashila for about 3 times throughout the last 5 years and we have gone for a fourth time this year. During the previous times that we've stayed here, it has been very nice. This past visit was still enjoyable, but unfortunately not the same. I was traveling with 2 other people, this most recent... I stayed for 3 nights from 25/12 - 28/12 and to be honest I was expecting much more from such a well recognized brand in Mexico. It seem's camino real is going down as I also heard the property in Mexico City is not doing well. Service: Was correct and friendly but definitely related to the mexican culture and not... More

First of all you need to know that Huatulco is a very small town and there is not much to do. there is zero night life so if your plan are to party hard change your destination to Cancun, but if you want to relax and a have a romantic get away with your couple, then you are in the... More
