I read some of the reviews of this place after returning form my trip - I must have stayed at a different property!! I agree that the food was so-so, but the drinks and fun never stopped and I was there out of season. The whole place was obviously recently redone (maybe because of the fire that happened in March).... More

Hmmmm...where to start. I'll start off easy on them. The food was absolutely horrid, with the same terrible buffet everyday. The staff is incredibly rude and don't help you out at all. In fact it's almost as if they play stupid with you. I remember asking a waiter if i can get a fork to eat and showed him the... More

This was my first trip to Acapulco The front desk seems like a mexican market, "mercado" a lot of people were checking in-out, it tooks us like 30 minutes to check in. Later we knew that a lot of mexican families with their kids were checking in... school vacations just began. They gave us a room in the second floor,... More

This hotel was a great choice in Acapulco, and really exceeded my expectations. Our room in this 18 story high-rise, faced the ocean, as did most of the rooms in these well-designed twin towers. The rooms were very clean, brightly decorated, and the beds were very, very comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and was a welcome relief from the... More

This was a great place to stay. The staff was very accomidating and friendly. Every room had a beautiful view of the ocean and a walk out patio. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The rooms were in slight need of repairs, but nothing major. I was really surprised after reading all of the bad reviews about this hotel... More

A friend and I stayed at the hotel for 8 days. We got a package at the Bus Station(Estrella Oro) which included the morning buffet. The buffet was good. No problems at all except the little admirals running around checking constantly to see if you have your wrist band on. Maybe it is a bleed over from our Home Land... More

Ruddest staff I have ever encounter in my travels. The staff of the hotel in general, but specially "security" (guys dressed in white with billy clubs) treat rude behaviour as if it was a virtue. My buddies and I have spent the last 15 years working non stop. This was supposed to be a special time and vacation. This guys... More

This was a vacation for myself, my 2 small kids aged 10 and 7and for my mom and dad. To start off, Be very cautious at the airport, for there are numerous stalkers for this new time share at the mayan palace. Seriously, it got so bad for us that they were calling our hotel room. But enuff about that,... More

Before staying at the Playa Suites, I had some concerns based on the bad reviews. I went with a group of people for spring break and we all stayed at the hotel. I thought the hotel was excellent for spring break students. First, it was the hottest spring break hotel on the beach. Every room has a view of the... More

I just came back from Acapulco and a week at Playa Suites (2/10-2/17/07). The pictures are somewhat deceiving since the Towers are old and the renovations (if any) were terrible. We were there on time share and had a "suite", consisting of a bedroom with 2 full beds and a "sitting area". The only TV was in the bedroom and... More
