My husband and I just got back from a week at the Grand Mayan and cannot say how much we enjoyed our stay. We felt as though we were VIPs at an exclusive resort. We were on the 9th floor end unit, beautiful views of the ocean, mountain and golf course. While booked back in June, we were not informed... More

We had contacted Roberto Alarcon & had him pick us up in Mexico City, unbelievable traffic in this huge city. Arriving at the Grand Mayan in the early hours of the morning, we were quickly checked into a corner room overlooking the city & the golf course. It was quiet 7 we were not bothered by any construction noise. Staff... More

I've owned Grand Mayan for nearly 10 years now. I'm recently divorced and went there on my own. From the minute I arrived the staff were very accommodating. I arrive early and sat out on large couches listening to the ocean. My stress level was eliminated in 2 hours. For the rest of the week the staff was very friendly... More

Just returned from our first visit to Acapulco. Loved Acapulco and the Grand Mayan was beautiful. As so many people have mentioned in other reviews the construction is an issue... but it didn't ruin the week. From other reviewers we also knew not to get a room facing the ocean since that would overlook the construction area! Our room was... More

Unlike many hotels in the Mayan chain, this one is right on the beach so you don't have to take those silly golf carts to go everywhere. The beach is beautiful, the rooms are large, well-equipped and leave nothing to be desired. The only downside are those horrible time-share presentations that they keep pestering you to attend, but that is... More

My wife and I vacationed at the Grand Mayan in Feb 2014. It was our first time in Acapulco. Overall we had a fabulous stay. We agreed to attend their timeshare presentation expecting the 90 minutes promised. After twice that we were finally escorted to their exit interview process where one last attempt was made to get us to purchase... More

My husband and I stayed at The Grand Mayan October 26-November 2. We did feel very pressured into listening to the time share presentation, but we are well aware of how most of those things go, and we declined... although we had to say no a ton of times and practically walk over the lady trying to get us to... The resort is currently going under construction, but that is fine as it is to finish in December. The redesign of the new pools are spectacular, and the water temperature could not be better. The units are modern, comfortable, and with fully functional kitchens. With the beach location, and the access to the Mayan Palace and it's waterpark for children,... More

This lodging facility is amazingly beautiful, with gorgeous artwork throughout the Grand Mayan and the Mayan Palace. Most of the facility staff are very helpful and friendly, however the time share pressure to agree to listen to a presentation is beyond ridiculous. And when the promised 1/2 hour presentation is finally agreed to, they promise many added benefits (of course).... More
