Arrived at the Grand Mayan on a Saturday afternoon. We were picked up at the airport by Sebastion Hernandez.[--]. We found Sebastion through trip advisor and he made our trip even better. He is a certified tour guide, he greeted us at the airport, you feel like someone special when he is standing there holding a sign with your name... more

The hotel was really nice but very hard BEDs! I slept on the sofa the whole week. I called the hotel weeks before we went and requested beach front view and when i got to the hotel we didn't get it! They said they would call me if one came up (never happened) FYI its $12.00 per day to play... more

I traveled to Acapulco last week with my husband and another couple. We booked our vacation in January- before the Swine Flu and reports of violence in the area. There was no need to worry, we had a great time! We stayed at the Grand Mayan and it was even more beautiful than the pictures. Everyone at the resort was... more

Neither of the 2 would be suggested if you are looking for a Long Marriage or a SUCCESSFUL vacation to Acapulco. I am the very apprehensive type going to another Country & using someone I have never seen or spoke to. Roberto changed our mind. From the downtown Mexican El Zorrito, to the Linda Vista overlooking the bay to the... more

The Grand Mayan was very nice as you would expect. Beach was great. Beach Cabana was always available. Service was good. There will always be pressure to buy or upgrade a timeshare..... Great resort and experience overall. Beach there was perfect for our 12 year old to boogie board. Waves are strong at times but not too strong. Food at... more

Our Acapulco trip was absolutely awesome-- great weather all week and our driver Angel Flores, who we were able to contact easily from earlier reviews, was the best. He took us to the best restaurants in the Acapulco area-- La Tortuga and Esmirna del Mar, where the shrimp and snapper are outstanding as you can see from the enclosed picture.... more

My family and I just got back from a summer vacation to Acapulco. We stayed at the Grand Mayan Hotel and it was an excellent resort, very beautiful. Although there wasn't much to do at the resort because it was off season. So most of the activites we did were in town. I have to honestly say this vacation wouldn't... more

WOW!! what a wonderful week. We are so glad that we did not let the media and our friends talk us out of this trip. We haven´t seen anyone sick and we feel very safe. It has been wonderful. We have enjoyed the Grand Mayan so much. I would highly recommend this hotel. However, Baldo Gomez our cab driver made... more

I am so glad that we didn't listen to the media hype concerning the swine flu and cancel our vacation to Acapulco. I didn't see any evidence of anyone being sick, although the people working at the airport wear masks and take your temperature upon arrival. The Grand Mayan is spectacular, especially the lobby area. There was a wedding taking... more
