This property is beautiful! It is tucked away from the main street in Acapulco down one of those narrow Mexican streets, but it sits right in the middle of the bay. The views to every side are amazing. We sat on the balcony to watch the sunrise and sunset. The rooms were so clean that you could litterally have eaten... more

Property is very, very clean as are the units. We were lucky enough to stay in the penthouse on the 10th floor. What gorgeous views of Acapulco Bay at night! The room was very large. We got tired walking from one end to the other! Staff at Mar Azul bend over backwards to help you with tours, restaurants, going on... more

I had to wait months for an available week to come up through the Interval International exchange program with a long list of vacation spots that I would accept. After cancelling several other offers, I was given a reservation at Mar Azul in Acapulco. I decided to take it because the condo/hotel was on the beach. However, there were problems... more

We just came back from staying at the Mar Azul. It is a small ten story building with a pool and a snack bar which serves sandwich and beveages. The pool seems small at first but it was not crowded. There is an upper deck to lay in lawn chairs to sunbathe. Just outside towards the beach is a roped... more

Yes. the view is gorgeous, it is close to all the action. And most of the mexican people are friendly and helpful. I have traveled to Acapulco many times and even have american friends who live there six months out of the year. We will never stay there again. We stay at the El Cano. We love it there. the... more

I read through the reviews prior to going to Mar Azul and had some reservations about whether I had picked the right place. After a week, I believe I did. Mar Azul was a great vacation. Our goal was to swim, sun, and do nothing and we did. Highlights: * The staff is fantastic. They'll recommend restaurants, shopping spots, arrange... more

We stayed at Mar Azul for 7 nights (4/28/07-5/5/07). Our room was clean and comfortable - the view of Acapulco Bay from the balcony is awesome! It is on the beach, in the center of Acapulco Bay - within walking distance (or short bus/taxi ride) of many restaurants and stores (not in a shopping mall as somebody previously mentioned). The... more

This is a small hotel in a very busy shopping mall area, with no good resturants around it. It had a small pool, a man flipping hamburgers, (which they called a resturant) and the smells eminating from the windows were foul. The location was poor, though near the beach. Do not go if you have no balcony, you will not... more

We just returned from 9 days in Acapulco at the Mar Azul. The stay could not have been more delightful. The staff is incredible and more than willing to try to make the stay as magical as possible and every wish granted. The ocean view is magnificent and the hotel extremely clean. more

We have just enjoyed two excellent weeks at Mar Azul & have no hesitation in recommending this location. This is a small 10 floor block of apartments right on the beach with very good access to the Costera with local shops & restaurants. The building is by no means new but it is well kept & the staff are most... more
