Six of us adults have just returned from our week long stay at Mayan Sea Garden Acapulco. The weather was hot, sunny, and humid the whole week, which was a far cry from the Denver snow blizzard going on back home! The rooms were very clean with maid service every day. The bathroom plumbing, the bedroom fan, the airconditioner, and... more

The Sea Garden was 50% time-share, full of young singles, young couples, young families with children, middle-aged and older couples. A mix of north Americans and Mexican nationals. Easy access to private beach accross private boulevard that services resorts and high end condos with taxis and shuttle buses. Following a time-share presentation at the Mayan Palace we could visit the... more

The Mayan Sea Garden is an attractive, pleasant place to stay. The grounds are attractive, rooms are adequate (although the beds are small by US standards), the pool is great, and the beach and store are across the street. If were expecting the new, ultra-luxurious Mayan Palace like we were, you will feel cheated. If you were expecting a more... more

My sister, niece and daughter have been talking about getting away together for years, it seems, and now that my niece and daughter might be starting families soon, we thought we had better go now before we have to wait a couple more years. The Sea Garden was the perfect place for a group like ours. It was nice and... more

This was too secluded for us. It was the only way my wife and I could stay in Acapulco on an RCI Timeshare at the end of a trip to Mexico, and we only planned to stay for two days. When we got there, we needed to do our laundry, and it turned out we had to go to the... more

Thanks to the reviews we read, we were prepared for the bait and switch from the Mayan Palace to the Mayan Sea Garden . If you are on an RCI exchange, insist on staying at the Palace, it is a really nice resort. If you end up in the Sea Garden take the free trolley to the Palace to eat... more

We just got back from our 8 day stay at the Mayan Sea Garden and it was outstanding! When we first arrived the bell boy was there immediately to greet us and get our luggage taken care of (and for 8 of us, we had a ton of luggage)! The check in process was easy and the staff was very... more

We read lots of the reviews of the Sea Garden before going. The rooms are average with not overly brilliant views but the cleaning service is very thorough. The hotel is a long way from Acapulco and it is an effort to get into the centre for a wider choice of restaurants and bars. If you are without a car... more

The hotel itself is rather old and not well maintained. The staff is even worse. Each person gives a different answer to the same question, often giving false information, and no one is willing to admit they are wrong. They seem to have no idea what is going on. The pool is constantly bombarded by annoying 80's music and bingo... more

I had read every review for this hotel before we went. There are many positive reviews and some negative which I suppose you'll find anywhere you go. I thought the Sea Garden was perfect for us. We went down to get some sun and relaxation and we definitely found it. The weather was perfect the whole week, the staff very... more
