The place itself is awesome! Pool area, kids pool park (extra cost, not included??), & the beach are very nice, but they do not allow you to bring any of your own beverages nor food nor snacks near the pools nor beach, this is to ensure you buy from them at their very high prices, their service is very poor,... more

We stayed at the Mayan Palace in Acapulco and it was everything the website mentioned. Our vacation was so relaxing, fun and the staff is wonderful! For touring around Acapulco, we found "Acapulco George" who transported us to all the sights; town tour, Cliff diving and markets whenever we wanted. Since we were two single women traveling with teenagers, George... more

The lobby and all facilities of the Mayan Palace and Grand Mayan are one and the same. The Mayan Palace is now just one building (they took down the other building and have the frame of the new Palace building in place, but with the economy, there is currently no work going on for that building). The Palace is a... more

Our experience in Acapulco turned out wonderful. We also almost canceled due to the H1N1 flu. Luckily it died down and we felt ok about going. So glad we did. We traveled with a family of 7. 5 adults and 2 children under 5. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. We took many suggestions from previous trip advisor reviews... more

My family and 2 other families traveled for 7 days to Acapulco; and we had a great time. We stayed at the Grand Mayan and the hotel is one of the best we had stayed at. We were planing on staying at the Mayan Palace, but at the last minute decided to upgrade to The Grand Mayan and we think... more

Went for a long weekend to meet up with my parents, and my sisters family. My sister had hired Benjamin to help us get to know the city, and was by far one of the best experiences I have ever had with a tour guide. My sister asked Benjamin to have one of his collegues pick me up from the... more

Acapulco is beautiful and we I can’t wait to go back. Thank goodness we didn’t cancel our trip due to the Swine Flu. When we arrived we were a little skeptical because there were only 8 other people on our flight besides us. Once we landed it took no time to get through customs and thanks to previous reviews on... more

After reading many of the reviews on the Mayan Palace I had mixed feelings about booking our stay, but decided to give it a shot and see how it went. Very good decision... we were prepared enough by the other mixed reviews that we were not expecting the Trump Towers, but were prepared for a "super 8". What we got,... more

Our Spring Break at the Mayan Palace was wonderful. The weather was perfect and the beach was great for long walks and swimming. The pool was spectacular. The Mayan Palace rooms are OK. The hotel sits 90 degrees to the ocean, so there are very few oceanview rooms. Definitely venture out of the resort to experience the restaurants and activities... more

My wife and I stayed at the Mayan Palace in Acapulco for one week returning on April 25. We have stayed at other Mayan Palace resort locations in the past, both Mayan and Grand Mayan. We stayed in a standard Mayan Palace room at Acapulco and were pleased with the accommodations. (Due to several reviews that we had read, we... more
