My best friends wedding was in Acapulco and my sister and I decided to fly there and stay at the Mayan, my reservation was booked thru Orbitz. On our second day somebody stole several things from our room and we reported this to the manager on duty which instead of taking inmediate action he denied our complaint. He had a... more

The Mayan Palace Acapulco was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. I have a teenage daughter and she absolutely loved all that there was to do. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. The room was much bigger than we expected, and kept very clean. For anyone who loves the beach this place is for you! The beach has to... more

Mayan Palace is old and run down. Apparently the property is planned to be demolished and rebuilt, but until that happens, don't expect much from your room. However, the grounds (pool, restaurants, bar, etc) are beautiful! more

We are just back from a week (18/9 to 25/9) spent in Acapulco at the Grand Mayan. We enjoyed very much the staty at the Grand Mayan. We had a two bedrooms appartment unfortunately not on sea view. In one of the bed room there was a jacuzzi and on the balcony of the other room there was little swimming... more

With a great beach location, and excellent sized rooms, this 4 star hotel should be a top rated hotel. And that would have been true 10 years ago. But today, the furniture looks worn, the sheets and blankets are well-used, and the building has sections of beauty and spots that are neglected. In fact, there is a deck area that... more

My husband and I traveled to Acapulco for our honeymoon and stayed at the Mayan Palace. The hotel grounds are great and lots of pools to swim in. All the pool staff are great and always there to order your drinks or food. Even with this beautiful resort to stay at, Roberto Alarcon was the best part about our vacation!... more

My wife and I celebrated our thirty ninth anniversary in Acapulco August 1 through 8. Our son and daughter in law celebrated their eleventh anniversary on the same day. We celebrated this week with our youngest daughter and three granddaughters as well. Our granddaughters are four, three and three months. The reason I include this information is to point out... more

Just got back from a 7 day vacation in Acapulco Mexico, where we stayed at the beautiful Mayan Palace. The weather was extremely humid, but is tolerable if you stay nearby the pool, ocean or air-conditioned room. The Mayan Palace resort is fully staffed with wonderfully friendly employees, most of which speak decent English. Everyone was very accomodating and helpful.... more

The place itself is awesome! Pool area, kids pool park (extra cost, not included??), & the beach are very nice, but they do not allow you to bring any of your own beverages nor food nor snacks near the pools nor beach, this is to ensure you buy from them at their very high prices, their service is very poor,... more

We stayed at the Mayan Palace in Acapulco and it was everything the website mentioned. Our vacation was so relaxing, fun and the staff is wonderful! For touring around Acapulco, we found "Acapulco George" who transported us to all the sights; town tour, Cliff diving and markets whenever we wanted. Since we were two single women traveling with teenagers, George... more
