We ended up in Acapulco by accident and at the last minute managed to get 2 rooms at this hotel over Christmas. The rooms are quirky but comfortable and the location is good however what makes this hotel special is the staff who were all delightful. They couldn't do enough for us and were so friendly and nice.

Hace been here 3 times already, and food is great, hotel is small hence beach is emptier than other places, 30 minutes walk from crowded places. Pool has classic music not awfull Mexican music which is perfect for rest. Will keep returning.

Excellent hotel, excellent service and excellent value. We loved our stay at Hotel Malibu. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet and with a bar fridge. The staff were extremely friendly. We are just backpackers and they gave us a room facing the beach and the swimming pool. The swimming pool was clean and next to the beach. The restaurant serves... More

We stayed for 12 days in February 2014. The rooms are just ok, This is not a 4 star it is more like a 2 or maybe a 3 star. What really stands out is the service, the food and the wonderful people that stay there every Jan, Feb and March. On Tue and Wed nights 6pm till 10pm, they... More

The only good thing is the amiability of the personnel and their gentleness. You do not sleep on Saturday night, because they rent the pool to people and the music is at its loudest until the 2 o'clock of Sunday morning. Expensive : 915 pesos (almost 60 euros or 75$) without the breakfast !!!!. When You arrive not even a... More

Location of the hotel is not so great. It's like a 30 minute walk to get to the bars and clubs. Breakfast is nice, but a bit expensive. This hotel has a really nice and big private beach. I visited the crown plaza, and their beach is sooooo small and not relaxing because there are soooo many people trying to... More

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. We got the best rate from beststay.com/mx. The Tabasco restaurant was also very affordable and has great views of the bay and sits right on the beach. Nice pools. Friendly staff. The only thing I didn't like is they still use old style door knobs on the rooms so anyone can... More

This hotel has always been a sort of tradition in my family, we have been coming here ever since I was a baby. And although the hotel´s installations have not changed a lot ever since, it still has that nice and comfortable feeling. I now come here with my husband at least once a year; he didn´t know this hotel... More

My wife Susie and I just wanted to have drinks and dinner with her friend Sandy at the hotel over looking the beach front to see the sunset and it was worth it. We enjoyed our drinks during happy hour. I ordered the Filet Mignon steak and it was the best meal that I have eaten in Acapulco. Looking forward... More

I reviewed the Acapulco Malibu awhile ago, and everything is the same, except for their Tues night parties. Starting at 6pm (happy hour from 6-7pm) the Malibu has wonderful live music in their outdoor bar/restaurant. Ricardo plays the electric piano and Raoul (Mr. Acapulco) and Ann Marie sing. Their repertoire is filled with all the great old American songs--the American... More
