David, the long-time owner of Las Palmas has passed away and the hotel has been sold. I do not know whether it will re-open as a hotel or become a private residence. It is true, as David's health deteriorated, so did the upkeep of the hotel. RIP David, we sure have a lot of memories of your hospitality.

I stayed at this hotel about 10 years ago and had a wonderful time, looking at the web site it appeared to have stayed the same, on visiting it my jaw dropped , it was filthy, the plumbing didn't work and the place was in total decay, needless to say we walked out after 5 minutes, this place should be... I have stayed here a few times and have noticed the place is in desperate need of repair and is rundown on my last visits. The owner needs a real dose of reality and should learn that guests are not there to listen to the problems with staff and running of the hotel. Good concept in the early 2000's, but... More

I used to like this hotel but my recent stay was a nightmare. The owner has serious issues and it is affecting not only the quality but the atmosphere. With a number of... More

I have grown to know and love David and all his staff over the years. I go there once or twice a year and their goal is to please. They will happily provide you with maps, food at all hours day and night, or handle any other special requests. They even have an on-call doctor. Relaxing pool and bar area... More
