I read some of the mixed reviews and was curious to see what we would be getting. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. The hotel is older, my parents had stayed here in the 70's, but has maintained quite well. The common areas are spotless and the five rooms that were in our party were very, very nice. Spacious... I booked this hotel to used my junior suite upgrade as a Fairmont frequent member. I was given a standard room and when I complained they pretended not to speak english. It was the same when they charged us the wrong price at the restaurant

The swimming pools and grounds were beautiful. Also very nice beach in front of the hotel. The building itself and the rooms are surprisingly outdated and worn looking. Some of the staff were very helpful , others were indifferent. You pretty much have to eat all your meals there as the hotel is secluded and away from town. Food was... More

We were hesitant to select a hotel in Acapulco because of security concerns. First, let me tell you something: our concerns were the result of media induced anxiety. The Acapulco Princess is at the beginning of the new part "Playa Diamante" which is very near to the airport . The resort is very big and encompass a golf course, several... More

From what I understand, Howard Hughes spent the last years of his life occupying the top floor of this hotel, and I can understand why. The place is BEAUTIFUL. There's no need to ever leave this property. It's an all-inclusive resort that does everything right.

We stayed here during a Mexican long weekend, which probably wasn't the best choice. Our experience was pretty mixed. On the positive side the hotel staff were all friendly; the hotel is in a good location (close to the highway from Mexico City, and right on the beach); and we got a nice large room in the main block of... We were considering it for our wedding party but were very disappointed when we stopped by to show our kids and have brunch and they would not let us through the gate. They said the brunch was sold out so we could not even go in the front gate. We still wanted to get their thoughts about having it there.... More

We spent 5days at the beautiful Fairmont Princess in Acapulco. The rooms were spacious with a wonderful view of the pool. Great place to stay, close to shopping and good restaraunts. It's about 15 minutes from Acapulco Costera. We use Roberto Alarcon for all our transportation. He offers great tours of Acapulco and surrounding areas. Always dependable and speaks English.... More

My girlfriend and i went to Acapulco for a wedding of a dear Mexican friend. She advised to check the Fairmont which we did. The choice proved to be good. The Hotel provides a number of services, such as 2 restaurants, one a-la-carte and the other one buffet-like, a spa with hairdresser, reserved beach with security guarding your belongings at... More

Having read so many negative reviews about this hotel, I was quite skeptical about booking myself in, but I decided to take the chance based on the good reviews. Having done that, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least. I took the advise of some and requested a room in the new tower and with... More
