Nice grounds and room, but in a five star one expects something more than the average. For example, coffee to go with the coffee maker, as well as room service and restaurants which are open as advertised.

I have been coming to this hotel for the past 10 years, I have stayed at others in the area.
But what sets this apart is the location, privacy, security, hotel grounds and the staff. The hotel is currently being re-furbished to a high standard. It is the ideal place to relax after a days work. The courtesey driver and...

I have stayed at the Camino Real many times, I am happy to report that they are finally remodeling the rooms. The bar and restaurant continue to be excellent, The tennis courts are gone as is the putting green. The hotel has 24 hr. security and all access is via gated entrance. Great place to stay.
I stayed here while travelling through Mexico on business, at the early part of June 2009. The hotel setting is the best part of the hotel (it is in its own grounds and has a pool, it is however, on a main road) as the rooms, were tired and shabby. The bed was clean; however, the water for the shower...

Sure the hotel rooms show some wear and tear, the appeal of the Camino Real - Saltillo is the safety and security of the hotel grounds and the beautiful setting of the hotel. The gardens and the pool were beautiful and I recommend this hotel for travelers who are driving into Mexico or returning.
This was my fifth time staying at Camino Real and also the last. I will be insisting my company book a different hotel. I had issues every time and changed rooms every time to find issues everywhere. Here are just a few of the issues I had this last visit only. The breakfast was so cold the bacon fat was...

This hotel was really somthing in it's day, about 20 years ago. Our room floor was sloped due to the building setteling. No water pressure in the shower Sheet were thin enough to see thru Towels were thin and frayed Charged us 150 pesos each for the breakfast buffet Not worth the price, good thing we were only travelling thru
We have stayed at this hotel numerous times on driving trips from Mexico to Texas and have always been more than satisfied with virtually every aspect of our stay - large comfortable rooms, decent price with great breakfast buffet included in the price of the room. I always feel that I should be paying much more for everything you get...

This was my first trip to Saltillo and my local rep booked this hotel. I didn't have my bathing suit and I regret it. The hotel rooms are spread out in a garden type fashion and the outdoor pool looked wonderfull. The food was fantastic altough the service was slow. What a wonderfull relaxing setting. If Saltillo had anything to...

Stayed at the Camino Real through April 2007 and despite it's so called 5 star reputation I was not too impressed. The biggest problem for me was the lack of wireless internet connection that dogged me for the 3 weeks I stayed here,it was one excuse after another until finally I checked out and found another hotel. The rooms are...
