I stayed recently for 8 days and was excited to stay in HGI since I know their standards. Unfortunately not everything was up to HGI standards. The hotel staff was excellent and were always friendly plus several spoke English. The restaurant staff and especially the lady cooking eggs in the morning were always friendly and helpful. I'll start with issues... More

Stayed here for business for 3 nights last week. Check in was fine. Room was typical of a US HGI. Breakfast was pretty good. Lots of Mexican food! Also ate lunch and dinner here on a couple of occasions. The Mexican food that was so prevalent at breakfast doesn't appear on the lunch / dinner menu however! Lots of club... More

Nice HGI, no issues at all. A good ways out of town, but traffic is bad everywhere. It is off the highway and easy to get to. Everything was fine. Always good to have the fridge and bottle water. The pantry is stocked in the lobby, so you can get the snacks you might need to get by. Hot water... More

The ever helpful staff make the place worthwhile else it is a very typical budget kinda hotel. My office was in the adjoining building and hence this was a convenient hotel for me, else the location of the hotel is not very encouraging. You will not be able to find anything in the vicinity. The room by itself was like... More

Stayed here for one night. Safi was very expensive for that night so figured HGI would be a safe bet. Wrong. Strange location as noted in previous reviews. Absolutely filthy hallway carpeting. Room carpeting disgusting as well, but not as visible due to different pattern. Couldn't even see out the filthy windows. Beds were on wheels and slid around. Weird.... More

Not a bad hotel for the price, could improve in a few things. Coffee in the lobby on the weekends and to go coffee cups and lids EVERYDAY. Better towels would be a nice (they felt scratchy and cheap) , and no wash cloths were provided. Foods very good and the staff was great.

a difficult to find hotel, hidden within a large office complex. rooms are fine and breakfast is really good. there is absolutely nothing to do in the surroundings unless you take a taxi or have a car. air condition was outrageously noisy and inefficient, impossible to sleep with. staff was correct.

Took over an hour to find the hotel even after hiring a taxi to lead us. After arriving nothing within walking distance. The construction and street layout in Monterrey are awful. Avoid the city if at all possible.

I stayed there so that i can be ready in the morning to give a speech in one of their meeting rooms. In the morning, people in charge didn´t know which was our room. We started 15 minutes late. It seems that the lady that sold us the event didn´t schedule it. One person from our company visited the hotel... More
