A OK hotel but you will most likely find a better hotel for the same amount of money in the town. BUT, don't miss the sunday lunch, it is great. I fully concur with the previous reviewers who give the Ancira a 5 star rating. This is a superb hotel, with very good staff; and an absolute gem of a building. It is in a good area of town, near the Macroplaza and the museum and cathedral, shopping just a block away and plenty of restaurants and a few bars.... more

We stayed here as part of a tour package and absolutely loved it. The location has got to be the best in Monterrey for tourists. On one side is a pedestrian mall area. I'd say the reviews were pretty accurate; while not first-class, we really enjoyed the charm of the older hotel & its staff.
