OK, this was a last minute reservation due to some change in plans. Still, the hotel its self is great. The staff was great, rooms where super clean, security is great, and they have taxis waiting out front. The hotel also has shuttle service to the airport (Mex not US) only available at 12 pm. The location of the hotel... more

well first of all i had tried to make a reservation with a different hotel by internet & then by phone, they were not very friendly or forthcoming with all the info i wanted. so we accidentally ended up at hotel colonial, yes it is a little more costly than some of the others but you can't beat the service,... more

I was in Cd. Juarez for business at the American Consulate like just about everyone who comes to this ugly city. I want to advice people who are coming here for the first time about what happens and a little about my experience. I decided for this hotel for safety issues: 1. They had a shuttle at 6am and another... more

I have been going to Mexico for the last 18 years and have stayed at the Hotel Colonial all but one time. The rooms are always clean, employees friendly, grounds and pools(2 standard and one wading) are kept very clean and the whole compound is very secure. The rooms were remodeled about 5 years ago, with new bathrooms and furniture.... more

Not such a spectacular place. It was clean, modern, secure. The pool was nice, clean, kid friendly. Breakfast bar was standard. Why put up with a snooty desk clerk? They never did explain where the door bell was to the front security gate to the street. I had to learn about it through observation while waiting for taxi. Upon arrival... more

This hotel is GREAT! A friend of mine told us to stay there when we went to Juarez for business at the consulate, and we ABSOLUTELY loved it! We stayed for 4 nights.. The front desk staff was great, a little snooty, but I like that... :) The breakfast was free, there were always plenty of newspapers, in english and... more

We selected this hotel based upon the reviews stating it was good for conducting business at the American Consulate. For this purpose, it was excellent. As indicated by others, it was convenient to the consulate, but away from the sidewalk scene. There was a convenient shuttle service in the morning to the consulate. The hotel itself is very good. Not... more

We stayed 4 nights at the Colonial Hotel and we were very impressed. The front desk staff was very helpful and polite especially Hector who works the night shift. They were always there to call a taxi for us or help us find a place to eat. The hotel itself is in a good location. There is a superette right... more

Once again, it was a great experience to stay at Hotel Colonial. The room was very nice and clean, employee's are friendly and helpfull. One draw back is that they only have one shuttle run to the airport at a very early hour. But everything else I could ask for in a hotel was there. Highly recommend this hotel. On... more

I was there about one year ago with my family for 3 nights and it was quite nice. Very quite, clean and low key. Close to the Consulate but far enough to not worry about the "hustlers". The Desk Manager was extremely helpful. About 6 months later, we had to return and decided to save a few bucks and stayed... more
