I'd compare the Lucerna to a Hilton or Marriott in the States. A step nicer than a solid business hotel. Pleasant setting, nice pool area, pretty grounds. The rooms are nice-basic. Just hotel rooms. Nice bar. Location is away from the tourist impact zone, in a good way, and convenient to some very good restaurants. The basic rooms seem to... More

We stayed on 5th floor (which has its own butler service), great for breakfast, dinner snacks and drinks. Even without it, the facility has a variety of services for food (Italian onsite), bar and dining area. Five star type of place and near the mall!

i used the room for a day-stay only. Clean modern rooms, fast wifi, courteous staff. The meeting facilities were ok for small meeting, but would not do something elaborate. As in other Lucerna chain hotels, checkin-out was problematic as it took too long and the staff seemd undertrained.

This hotel is quite a gem. Awesome service in all areas, and plenty of staff available to accommodate your needs. There is a pool and a few lounge chairs if you want to sit back and relax. The room we had was basic, but clean. The only disappointment was no safe. There are two restaurants to choose from and they... More

Love this hotel. We are currently in Tijuana for Cancer treatments and first stayed here a few weeks ago while waiting to go to an apartment. We had already been at two previous hotels but did not get the comfort or service we received here. We decided to splurge and go to the 5th floor which was so worth it.... More

Husband and I did a quick trip to Tijuana for some food and shopping, and we stayed at the Hotel Lucerna. It was great! Very close to the restaurant Mision 19, where we had a dinner reservation. Not only a lovely hotel with charming service, but the breakfast buffet was awesome! All kinds of local delicacies...we look forward to a... More

Fantastic breakfast and service. Stayed here 2x in the month of February. First time I did not have hot water, but the second visit was perfect. Such a pretty hotel and very close to fine dining. I will stay here again if I visit Tijuana again.

While I am a Marriott guy usually, this hotel is my absolute favorite in Tijuna. There is another in Mexicali, but this is nicer. I have been coming here for over 20 years and split my time between Marriott and here. The staff tend to come and go except for the bellman who have been there over 20 years! The... More

A very nice hotel indeed. The pool area is beautiful and the rooms more than adequate. They have taken a page from U.S. Hotels and charge a fortune for their Room Service Menu - 2 Tacos $25 in Mexico!! Nonetheless I do recommend this hotel.

My husband and I went to TJ for some medical tourism and were VERY pleased with the Lucerna. The staff was superb! They emailed us BEFORE we left asking how they could prepare to make our stay more comfortable. We put in two requests and they were DONE. There was quite a bit of construction going on but the staff... More
