Having stayed in Mexican hotels before I was not expecting the height of luxury. What I found was a sadly aging with a good location and view for some. Sadly that did not include me and my wife. Because there are no elevators in the hotel (and the rooms with a view of the Sea of Cortez are on the... More

A tired old hotel with great views and even better access to nightlife, shopping, and restaurants! Lousy in room Wi-Fi & TV reception. The place in December was almost empty, hotel, bars, and resturants even on a weekend. Condition of the hotel was worn & frayed... very so-so housekeeping. Only the Location & Views prevent me from leaving a lower... More

Placement of the hotel is great as it is located at the South end of downtown and 200 feet to shore. Arriving at San Felipe with no reservations led me here. There were a few nicer hotels nearby at comparable prices but alas all were completely booked. The sheets were clean, the balcony had a nice view, and the water... More

Internet that works if your not in the lobby or very close, Room was very , very poor shape smelled . TV only had 3 channels and they were fuzzy. This place is a dive. Don't stay here. I didn't stay I checked out after 4 hours went to a nice place for less money.

We stayed in there in June 26 for a night. The hotel had all basic stuff: water, tv, internet (but sign was so poor that I could never connect to it), Air conditioner, a pool (which was so dirty, besides the pool's bar was not working anymore). The service was so bad that no one helped us to carry our... More

in the center of all the conveniences: across the street from an awesome internet cafe serving up the most delicious mocha lattes, just around the corner from D'Andre's "Sweet Spot" and all the groovy other eating places, souvenir bargains and, of course, those OXOX (or is it XOXO?) convenience stores, now more ubiquitous than 7-11 if thatz at all possible.... I've been staying at Costa Azul (off & on) for the past 15 years or so. I have to say, things have changed a bit. the last time I stayed at Coast Azul was when I last came to San Felipe in 2008. Back then, the pools bar was open and operating. Now, I cant say the same, pool bar... More

Costa Azul Motel is perfect for the not too picky. If your the type that likes to stay in the room, watch television while the air conditioner is running, then dont waste your time here. This is for the family that wants to spend most if not all their time seeing and doing things in the town. The main shopping... More

I would like a phone number to make reservations before going. We stayed there for $60 a night and I am hearing $90 this year and that is very overppriced for this hotel. We were on the second floor and the boy was vey helpful taking our luggage up and down when we checked out.Close to walk to restaurants for breakfast.
