My sister and I had been looking for a place just like Rancho Leonero! Slow and easy, no frills, and off the beaten path. We're not fisherwomen, but snorkeling was what we were seeking for our entertainment. Rancho Leonero offers a reef right in front of the property. All you have to do is wade in! We were lucky last... We just returned from a 6 day stay at Rancho Leonero and it is a very small resort with a low key vibe and no touristy attractions. We stayed in one of the cabins (#22) with an unobstructed view of the Sea of Cortes which was very comfortable. The airconditioners are outside the room and there is really no noise... More

Did not stay at the hotel however had the all you can eat Spare Ribs for 20$ (Saturday). Maybe on the high side but well worth it. Been to the Bar / Pool several times since; good service, tasty snacks and cold beer. The host Gary was very hospitable and has a lot of information about the area. Worth a... More

Every summer I take my two sons to the East Cape region for a week of fishing. We usually stay at another well known resort in the area. This year had a lot of difficulty getting through to make a reservation so we decided to try Rancho Leonero. Very happy we did. Through the reservation process everyone was polite and... More

First time visitors. Booked this location for the beach, fishing, snorkeling & outdoor activities. Our group included a 12 & 14 year old. More than half of the other visitors were multi-time repeat visitors, most were families or father / son groups - this tells you a lot about this place. Some had been coming to Rancho Leonero every year... More

we returned for our second visit to Rancho Leonero. We are home 2 days and ready to go right back. Last year we did March and yes it is windy and choppy then so we did May and it is much different. It was hot and when the breeze picked up it was very welcome .The fishing was awesome, the... More

If you are looking for a five star resort you'll probably have to go to Cabo San Lucas with all its hustle and bustle. What this is, is an old style Baja resort. It's all single story in close proximity to everything. I believe there are only thirty- two rooms so it's not crowded and you tend to get to... More

I usually take 3-5 trips a year and they are all centered around fishing and relaxing. I went to the ranch for the first time in November of 2014 and already heading back in May of 2015. If you're looking for the late night club scene, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for great fishing, beautiful... More

We happened to pick a time slot when the fishing was only OK (one Marlin), but the overall experience was very good. Nice people, clean comfortable accomodations and excellent food. I would recommend Rancho Leonaro without qualification. Reg Vitek, San Diego, CA

The perfect combination of fishing and relaxation. Ocean fishing, dining and just plane old staring at the sea at their best. Homey atmosphere inside the dining and bar are combined with endless beaches to walk the late afternoon away. We could live there !!
