I came to Loreto with friends for living and stayed here for 7 days before finding a house. Abel has made of this hostel a beautiful place where you can feel like home. Rooms are clean and the kitchen is lovely. I would advice everybody to stay with Abel.

A really pleasant, quiet hostal just steps to the main plaza but no outside noise came through at night. Abel is very friendly and helpful. The price is excellent especially compared to other budget accommodations in Loreto. Cute little rooms with wifi, private bathrooms, and TV. Funky decor too! Highly recommended.

This beautiful hotel is just a few steps off the pedestrian walk way but you have to look for the sign. The owner has put his heart into his place. Every room is clean and has the ambiance of real old Mexico. There's a full kitchen and the location is great.

Trip advisor was right again! I booked a couple rooms for a couple nights with Abel before heading down to loreto with my fiancée and myself, as well as my parents. I was not sure how my parents would feel about a hostal, but I wanted to give it a try anyway. We could not have been more happy with... More

We stayed with Abel for three days and wish we could have stayed longer. His hostal was a wonderful stop for us on a 3 weeks motorcycle trip in Baja. He has put his heart and soul into building this and takes great pride in it. He truly cares about his guests experience and goes above and beyond to make... More

My motorcycle riding partner and I stumbled onto Abel Casas' Hostel through the good fortune of bumping into a motorcycle threesome on the main street of Loreto, just across from the Loreto Plaza Hotel (also a good place to stay). We found Abel to be the most engaging host. He told us to bring our bikes into the main part... More

The owner/manager Abel bought this place a year ago after retiring from 45 years of working in Los Angeles. Previously it was six small apartments so our room was large. I think many people miss this place because it isn't listed under hotels. Abel says it is the only hostel in Loreto. I guess the available kitchen makes it hostel... More

Although we didn't stay there, we met a fellow traveler who was staying their for four weeks and loved it. We visited and met the very nice owner, Abel. This is a great place to stay if you are on a budget, or just need a place to stay before/after a kayak trip. Very clean facilities with private bathrooms and... More

We stayed there for one night at new year's eve and liked it quite a lot. Although it wasn't the very cheapest location we discovered in a bit more of 2 weeks Baja California I would still consider it the best price we got. We found everything we hoped for, in fact even more. Clean, comfortable rooms, lots of space... More
