Coco Cabanas was the perfect home away from home for our family. We spent 2 weeks there. Our 7 year old loved the swimming pools! The casitas worked well for us where we could cook our own food when we wanted to and have a clean, comfortable stay at an economical price. Steven (the owner) was very hospitable and helpful... The owner, Steve, is very friendly and gives you plenty of tips about local restaurants and places. The rooms are clean, but everything is dated. A makeover could not hurt, but then again, the majority of the guests love it there. If I'd go back to Loreto, I would probably look for an alternative.

We have stayed at Coco Cabanas for the past 8 years, and feel like we are home when we arrive. Steven and Josy are very nice. Steven gives great advice on local restaurants and his favorite dishes at each one. You can walk to many of the restaurants, or taking a taxi if needed. We frequently have a group of... More

We had a group of 10 staying here for a week. We stayed on the "newer" side with the large one bedroom Cabana and 4 Casitas. We did have 2 couples/friends that were booked separately on the "older" side, with the individual cabanas, however the difference between the smaller cabanas and the larger casita was enough that 2 couples who... I 100% agree with Brandon B. and his review. Except it's not a 1 star. It's not THAT bad. Like he said it is very nice inside "the compound" I called it. I could not hear chickens on my/the other side. My room was very clean, the bed was great, Full kitchen (which I did not need). Pool is chilled... More

We almost missed this place because of the alley type approach. Do not let that deter you (as it almost did us)! This is a totally lovely little hotel, spotlessly clean, well landscaped, nice and helpful people. I couldn't ask for more!! We rented a basic room which has a king sized bed, large bath, closet, and quiet!! We have... More

If chickens bother you (we didn't hear them) or anything else about a small Mexican town, such as friendly people, colorful neighborhoods, short walks to good food, and a general laid back vibe, then by all means head to the big, somewhat sterile resorts. But if you want to nestle into a sweet little town that is completely laid back,... More

Wake up to Chickens every morning? No thanks. The hotel is in a remote (for Loreto) area that reminds me of the projects in Chicago. Dirt road, rough homes. Once inside, it is quite nice. For the money, why not stay where there is an onsite restaurant, pool bar, Starbucks, and the most gorgeous views of the Sea of Cortez.... More

Stayed there last November and going back this November. Love this place and the owner is so helpful. Gave us great advice and tips on where to eat and things to do. The "Bad Value" review is the only bad review I have seen of the place. I love the fact that the hotel is off the beaten path and... More

One of the great things about CC is that you can have upscale if you want in their Casitas or basic in their Cabanas! We've stayed in both over many visits and found them as they are represented and both a great value. Loreto is a small town known primarily for its fishing, so if you are looking for a... More
